In case I'm not the only one on this list living in New Orleans:

QuoteLast weekend Cornell's men's ice hockey team swept 11th-place RPI to
advance to the ECAC Championships in Albany, NY.  The Big Red, ranked
#2 in the nation, play Brown University Saturday afternoon in the
first semifinal, with the winner advancing to the ECAC Championship
Game Saturday evening.

I'll be watching NESN's live broadcast of the ECACs via satellite, and
would like to invite any interested New Orleans Cornellians (and
significant or insignificant others) to join me at my home, [...], for this weekend's action.  Friday's game is at
2:30pm Central Time, Saturday's at 6pm.  People are welcome 15 minutes
before Friday's game and one hour before Saturday's to plan
pizza-ordering strategies.

Please let me know if you'll be there this weekend; I can also send
out confirmation after Friday's game of whether Cornell is indeed
playing for its league-record 10th Whitelaw Trophy Saturday.

The plan is Saturday morning at my place and Sunday morning probably at Cooter Browns.  Email jtw24@cornell.edu for more details.

Anyone watching the Frozen Four games in New Orleans?  I have to go there on a business trip, but I'd LOVE to sneak out in the middle of the day Thursday for some good hockey.  Or anyone know of any good sports bars either near the convention center or in the French Quarter that might have the game on?

Well, the games are on espn2, so you should be able to watch them in any bar with decent cable.  I'll be in Buffalo for the F4, but I can put you in touch with folks who will be around.
