Age,
Looks like I can email the file (or at least permission for you to download it) via the Yahoo Briefcase interface. What email address would you like me to send it to?

Keith Olberman, as well.  Who, I suspect, still has many ESPN ties despite having left the network.

I intentionally left Olbermann out. When he left Fox Sports a couple of years ago, I saw an article in USA Today about where he might go next. A quote from an ESPN exec: "[Olbermann] didn't burn his bridges - he napalmed them." He may have ties, but I doubt he's in their good graces.

Don't forget the Ithaca College alums, most of whom - like myself - got hooked on Cornell hockey while there.

Karl Ravech is the most prominent one - Chris Moore does ESPN Radio. The director of the selection show was an IC alum ... and there are at least a dozen more behind the scenes.

Yep - they just let the actual game audio run over the play.  Okay by me - it was a great play-by-play call of the goal, and I just won't be able to see it too many times....:-P

GopherHockeyGuy,
I think the difference in scoring has a lot to do with the different styles of play that prevail in east vs. west.  It seems that the WCHA is very much a wide open run and gun league, esp. since they play a lot of games on Olympic Ice.  (I haven't seen much WCHA hockey this year and only listened to a couple games, but that's my impression.)  Back east there's a lot more emphasis on team defense and goaltending.  The rinks are almost all NHL size.  I'm generalizing a bit here, but the top goalies in the nation (statistically speaking) tend to be from the eastern schools, while the scoring leaders are almost all from the west.

Nice to see a westerner posting on our board.  Just a hint - you'll probably get more response for a question like this if you ask it in a thread that wasn't dedicated to Sportscenter coverage and alums at ESPN.
