While we're awaiting the U.Mass game this weekend, a friend has issued me a challenge: He randomly spotted a Cornellian hockey fan mom and child at Disney last week, took a photo, and made a bet with his wife that I could get the photo into the woman's possession within 24 hours.

He didn't say I couldn't crowdsource. I actually think I might recognize her, or at least know where I've seen her before, so I'll be posting it elsewhere as appropriate, but I figured I'd try here as well.

So, does anybody know who this is?

EDIT: Mystery solved; Cornell Athletics staffer Megan Wagenet and her son. That didn't take long at all. ::banana::

Where is this Disney, where people are wearing jackets, sweaters, and such?

Can't speak for Florida (and why on earth would I possibly do that?), but that's how people dress in Southern California whenever it dips below 68F, only with more down-filled parkas.

I'll pipe up for Florida and let's just say that earlier this week I was very happy that I kept my winter coat, scarves and hats from my time in Indiana.  If I was still in the midwest, I might have been wearing everything I owned to stay warm while trying to remind my frozen brain cells that this too shall pass. ;-).

I have been on the gulf coast just north of Sarasota [Anna Maria Island] for 2 weeks and it hasn't been as cold this year as some of my visits.  There have been stretches of my annual stay in the past when there have been freeze warnings inland in late December through January.  Since I drive down from Ithaca, there is always an extra winter jacket, hats and gloves in the car.  Haven't needed the snow boats yet, though.

The challenge is living through a cold spell in a Florida vacation home that has no heat....

Went shopping at the Grove (posh shopping area near Hollywood) before Christmas at 75F and I lost count of the number of parkas and Uggs after a very short time...
