Although this isn't specifically about hockey, it does mention it in passing as a profit center - and since it doesn't really fit under "Other Sports" either, and I knew it would be of interest to the hockey forum, I'm posting it here.  The Atlantic Magazine's long, compelling piece on the NCAA and how the athletes are often the only ones not profiting from college athletics:

For those who prefer the audio "cliffnotes", the author was interviewed on this week's  Only a Game on NPR.

Usually anything on NPR goes on too long. But when competition is 15,000 words in print, audio is compelling. But so is the printed version. All I can think is: a pox on everyone's house.
