USCHO Article

No current Cornell players on the list (though note that Birch and D'Agostino are already drafted), but two recruits:  2011-committed RW Brian Ferlin, currently with Indiana in the USHL, comes in at #122, and 2010-committed D Mathieu Brisson, with Omaha of the USHL, is at #177.

Three Harvard players are listed, including Danny Biega at #31 (the highest ranking for an ECAC player, and the only player on the list who is already playing in the ECAC); Princeton also has three players on the list, including 2010 recruit Sean Bonar (we are all now on notice to be ready to make fun of that name), the only ECAC recruit on the goalie list (I mean, seriously, a goalie named Bonar? How great is that?).  Yale has two players on the list, including the highest-ranked forward committed to an ECAC school.  Dartmouth, Colgate and RPI each have one player on the list.

Predictably, the list is heavily weighted toward the usual suspects like Minnesota, UND, BC, BU, Michigan, etc.  However, from the "Times They Are a-Changin'" department, Notre Dame appears five times in the top 28 skaters in the ranking including Riley Sheahan, the top-ranked collegiate skater.

Seven NCAA-bound goalies in the top 25, but not Andy Iles.  I think the expectation level here at elynah has been higher than that.

Iles is 5'8. If he's drafted at all, it won't be until the late rounds. Goalies under 6' are rare in the NHL, just look at Jeff Lerg. He was one of the best goalies in college hockey and an unheralded, undrafted free agent. If you're looking at the better NHL career, I'd pick Scrivens over Iles. Doesn't mean Iles can't be a great college goalie.

Didn't deserve a new thread, but an article about Riley Nash. Doesn't say anything exciting.
