Tonight was the annual Skate with the Big Red, with the team Skills competition.  The results were:
Fastest skater - Krantz (beating out Bitz in the finals)
Hardest shot - Krantz 89 mph (beating out Seminoff 87 mph)
Most accurate shooting 8 pucks at 4 targets - McCutcheon (beating out Sawada with 2 hit targets with 4 pucks in the 2nd tiebreaker, both hit 4 targets in 7 shots in the main event and 0 of 4 in the 1st tiebreaker)
Best shooting 3 pucks against a goalie - Scott (beating out Sawada with 2 goals in the tiebreaker, both times against DiLeo)

I could have some of the second place, or goalie, names wrong, but the rest is fairly accurate.  There was also a 2 minute rapid fire competition of 2 teams against Chabot and DiLeo.  Although Davenport (the MC of the night) wasn't clear on the mike, I think DiLeo lost.  If anyone else was there, please correct some of my mistakes.

Haha, I was there- I'd say your write-up is about 100x more formal than the competition was... but the results look ok.

More importantly, I saw Gleed walking after. He was still limping quite a bit. Does anyone know exact injury/expected return?

I know you were there.  I was sitting next to you.  I figured this was my one and only chance to look all professional and intelligent on elynah, so I went for it.

I think Chris Abbott had the flashiest goal of the night.  I almost want him to get interfered with on a breakaway in the future just so he has a chance to do something similar on a penalty shot.
Is next year here yet?

I talked to Gleed, he said he is aiming to be back in time for florida
"That damn bell at Clarkson." -Ken Dryden in reference to his hatred for the Clarkson Bell.

This is no place for professionality and intelligence!

Hahaha. I didn't look at the post name. Sorry about that... you'll get another chance.

If Krantz had hockey sense, he'd be an All-American

It could still happen.  Probably not this year, but maybe he could be a 2008 All-American. :-)

You are right about Abbott--but I was equally impressed with Kindret

Kindret looked good too.

I thought mccutcheon's look like you are taking a shot, but actually pick the puck up right in front of you then slap it in out of midair thing was pretty funny. Two players tried the shot that Malik did in that ranger's shootout I forget who, but the first person missed pretty badly and the second person scored it.

Was anybody at ice level that could tell if that shot was technically high-sticking?
