If you liked the old series, see the movie.  There are dozens of funny throw-away references to the classic series, overt and hidden.  If you have kids it works just like Powerpuff Girls -- you're both laughing at the same time, but at very different things.

I second what Greg said.  If you can endure one prolonged fart joke, the rest is fun and funny for both generations.

And is it just me, or is the Scooby Doo theme reminiscent of "Rocky Raccoon" (in an "I Love Lucy"/"Rock Lobster" sort of way)?
