True, but if a player racks up a number of star quality games at the NHL level he will have identified himself as NHL level talent.  Makes it much more likely that either his team will call him up or someone else will try to get him.

Then again, considering the small number of goalie jobs at the top level it'll take more than one or two games to earn one of them.

Yeah, but the coyotes have already more or less tagged Lenny as "goaltender of the future," and I think the job is more or less his when he proves himself capable at that level. Boucher's out for a while with an injury, If Lenny puts together a string of good games while he's gone, I wouldn't be surprised to see Boucher traded, or conveniently out with some unspecified injury.
