Hockey Line Number Details

[WVBR-FM Radio]

WVBR-FM (93.5) will be first to announce when and where line numbers for Cornell Big Red men’s hockey season tickets are being issued to students. The live announcement will take place over the radio between Saturday, September 24 and Thursday, September 29 (9:00-11:30 PM, ET). WVBR will be reporting live at the number distribution location and will provide minute-by-minute updates on how many line numbers are left.

I have a feeling that this will be rather conspicuous and will draw attention before the actual announcement is made, resulting in a preline.  I don't know what the station needs to do at a bare minimum to set up a remote broadcast location, etc. but it seems to me that they will need at least some time to setup.  If I am mistaken please let me know.

I could be wrong, but I'd imagine all you would really need is a cell phone at a minimum.

Yeah I think that makes sense...They say "reporting" not "broadcasting" I guess that's a big difference--which means it wouldn't generate a preline

WVBR-FM will not be present at the line number distribution location until AFTER we make the official announcement over the air. We will have free cd's and will be interviewing fans, updating listeners on what line number they are up to, etc - so we look forward to seeing you all there - but we will not be present at the location until after we make the official announcement.

Hope that clears up confusion.
