I was at a sports bar in White Plains last night, and asked the bartender about channel 657... he said that they usually get whatever's on there, and I mentioned to him that he could check for a D-II basketball game.  When I left, he told me that he had gone to the back room and saw that the game was on.  If I want, I can call tomorrow when the schedule comes out and confirm the feed.

So I learned several things... first of all, it seems that any self-respecting sports bar probably gets odd requests like this all the time (yes, the D-I hockey tournament is still considered an odd request), and therefore probably subscribes to the highest sports package available.

Second, we can call any place with DirecTV anytime tomorrow and just ask them to check their schedule.

Third, if Ship of Fools really does fall through, or if there's anyone like me who might not make it downtown tomorrow, Bob Hyland's Sports Page in White Plains will give us at least one TV to watch the game on, possibly more if there's more interest.  They can't reserve me a room or anything, but they also won't charge a minimum.
