(8) BU  3,  (1) BC     2
(4) UNH 2,  (5) PC     1
(3) UMA 6,  (6) Lowell 3

Big surprise in Boston. -- BC 0 for 7 on power play, including 2:00 5x3.  2 goals by BC, including a goal with :39.9 left, made the game interesting.  BU wins despite huge shot differential.

Age, fyi, this is my last post edit.

BU scores 3 goals on 10 shots according to the Box Score on USCHO.

Tom Pasniewski 98

Was at the BU-BC game last night.  After BU built the 2-0 first period lead, they looked as if that's all they needed rarely getting a shot off.  I credit Fields for the win.  They had only credited BU with 3 shots on goal over the last two periods at the rink (1 in the second and 2 in the third) but since revised it for the boxscore.  BU attempted very few shots even when they had the empty net to try and seal it down the stretch.  Meanwhile, BC had so many shots miss the mark, it became a recurring theme.  The video board at the Conte Forum showed the number of 'shots off the mark' at one point and I think BC had over 30 and that might have been through 2 periods.  BU really had an awesome PK on display especially for a two-minute 5x3.

No matter how bad the opponent is, it's really hard, how many times do you play six times anyway, to go 6-0-0 against an opponent in one season which is what BC would have had to do to sweep BU.  But I think it's just as hard to beat an opponent six times in one season and would not be surprised to see BU win this series.  BU's been playing do or die games for a bit now and they've been responding.  BC clinched the Hockey East RS title and hasn't won since.

Two big rivals, two miles apart from each other and all they can draw is 3,270 to a 7,700 seat arena for a playoff game.  BU may be on spring break but they'll be more at Lynah tonight than that.

Not that Cornell's at large chances are very good nor should we pay them any attention with games still going on, but a BU run through Hockey East is not a good thing for teams like Cornell.  Who knows, BU's PWR may be up in the top 14 :::-O:: the way BU has moved up to a tie for 20th after last night's win.  They still can't finish the HE tournament at .500 even if they win the whole thing.

BU SUCKS, BC SUCKS, HOCKEY LEAST SUCKS, CLARKSON SUCKS.
