Anybody seen the roster for the Phantoms this year?  A substantiall portion of the team is made up of ECAC alums from throughout the years, and a few other notables.

Neil Little (RPI)
Mark Murphy (RPI)
Ben Stafford (Yale)
Nick Deschenes (Yale)
Randy Jones (Clarkson)
Patrick Sharp (Vermont)

Along with some other former Cornell opponents:
B.J. Abel (MSU-Mankato)
Freddy Meyer (BU)

the list goes on and on...

I'm going to see the Phantoms play the Admirals in Norfolk tonight, so if anybody would like me to pass along some creative "words of encouragement" to our former foes, let me know.

Hey, there's another Cornell hockey fan in Hampton Roads!  I might have gone for this tonight, but I just read about it and unfortunately it's already nearly 10pm EDT.

I actually was a bit of an RPI fan (having grown up in Albany and having my Dad be an RPI alumn), so I vaguely remember seeing Neil Little play.  The one guy I do distinctly remember was Joe Juneau, who has bounced around a number of NHL teams.  I don't remember Mark Murphy though.  I still will certainly cheer for RPI...unless they're playing the Big Red.

Kinda hard to come by hockey this far south...the ponds don't quite freeze hard enough for one thing.  The Admirals is about all there is.

Any interest among the Hampton Roads CU hockey fans in seeing the Admirals play on Wednesday the 29th against the Falcons (JMP and Lenny's team)?

On a similar AHL topic ... on top of my day job I'm interning with the River Rats this season (and thus I won't be seeing you all very much this year). I had the opportunity to watch Lenny play on Saturday (and win). It was nice to see him play and the media present were definitely impressed with his performance in goal. He was nominated first star of the game (and by a substantial margin - I can assure you of this cause I'm the one who tabulated the final votes).

Chris,

I'd be interested in going to the game...but it's an away game.

I'll definitely be there in late January when springfield comes to town for two games though.

You're dating yourself, Al.

A more current reference would be something about Florida:-P

Work is no longer an excuse to live near an ECACHL team... :(
