Down 2-0, up 6-4 at the half, Cornell wears down Hofstra for a 14-5 win at Schoellkopf. Announcer stats said Cornell had 0 saves until well into the second half, 2 for the game. 5 goals for Lintner. Hofstra 4 man-up goals. Box score: http://cornellbigred.com/boxscore.aspx?path=mlax&id=19638

Cornell wins most all stat categories:
Shots 42-16
Ground balls 32-17
Faceoffs 13 of 21
Cornell 2 saves (1 each for Knight and Donville), Hofstra  9 saves

Also:
Princeton 16, Dartmouth 5
Penn 10, Harvard 9 <--  Keeps Penn a possible for the playoffs
Yale 16, Brown 10  <-- drops Brown to 2 Ivy losses

Ivy standings after 4 or 5 games:
Cornell    3-1
Princeton  3-1  At Cornell in 2 weeks
Yale       3-2
Brown      2-2  Hosts Cornell next Saturday
Penn       2-3
Harvard    1-3
Dartmouth  1-3

Looking to the playoffs and who hosts, Cornell would host by beating Princeton and Brown; they are the only teams left with one loss. Brown and Yale now have two. Cornell has won the head-to-head with Yale, has yet to play @ Brown, Princeton. Brown won the head to head with Princeton. Yale won the head to head with Brown. Brown closes at Dartmouth so its Ivy schedule, a near-gimme. This is confusing. Made simpler if Cornell wins out or if we hadn't given Harvard its only win so far this season.
