Newspapers say part of Pernetti's settlement was...an iPad.  Who did he have to throw a basketball at to get the ante upped to that???::doh::

Yeah,I found that to be the height of absurdity.

Maybe it's only the 16GB model with WiFi not cellular. Sometimes little stuff like this has value because it does, or because he doens't want to have to be his own IT dep't and install apps on a new iPad.

This got lost in everything going on in Boston today (good day for a news dump), but Rutgers suspended the men's lacrosse coach pending an investigation for verbal abuse today.  As a graduate student at Rutgers, so I'm somewhat familiar with the atmosphere on campus and how they treat the athletic department, I would say (admittedly without any evidence) that I'd be shocked if this wasn't going on in the football program when Schiano was in charge.  It fits Schiano's personality perfectly.
