Five goals for Max as Team USA beats Harvard, 17-11.  Not a bad showing for Harvard as the score was 11-11 early in the fourth quarter.  Dean Gibbons had four goals and two assists for Harvard.  He will be a handful next spring.

Naahhh.  We'll just put Peter Mumford on him.  Distant relation to late 60's hockey alum?  Not his son according to bio.

I remember a Tufford, but not a Mumford.  If Mumford's as good a player as Tufford, I'll be a happy guy.**]

Did Cornell have a lacrosse player named Pete Tufford?

Ah, so was this an analogy? "If Mumford's as good a (lacrosse) player as Tufford (was a hockey player), I'll be a happy guy."

Maybe, "If Mumford's as good a (defender) as Tufford (was a center), I'll be a happy guy." ? ::woot::

Or was there another Tufford?

TimV

No, I screwed up.  I WAS thinking of Pete Tufford, Hockey Player and one time color man or play by play for radio broadcasts.::doh::
