SLU can bring a good crowd -  at least they do for their regular season RPI game.
SLU(t) used to draw very well in Lake Placid, though granted that was a very short trip for them.
SLU used to travel well to Boston, too, so it wasn't just the short trip.  Their fan base, particularly their townies, are extremely dedicated.  There aren't that many of them to begin with, but those there are go on the road.
But no band, and they can't bring that obnoxious drum to play during the game.

Don't they have a traveling version of their siren that someone always brings?
SLU can bring a good crowd -  at least they do for their regular season RPI game.  Who knows about Yale - they've never been here.:-D
Yale had three fans at the recent RPI game in Troy, but one of them can't make it this weekend.  He's busy setting up a track team in NYC.  I hope that all four schools bring their bands.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Yale and Cornell can have a South Park duel with "Uncle F*cka" vs "Kyle's Mom".

Will our band be there?  With the squeakball tourney at the same time, will Andy and the boys spring for two trips?

Does the question even need to be asked?  The answer, of course, is yes. Last year was more difficult when we had sent bands to Men's March Madness, Albany, and Women's March Madness.

The pep band is self-supported (read: alumni and friends of the band).  There is no financial support from Athletics for the trips.

Interestingly, there is no cost to the band for the basketball tournament - the NCAA covers the expenses.  Not true for hockey or lacrosse, unfortunately.

Sorry, I just remembered the sad showing last year, but I forgot that the women made the tourney, too.  ::doh::

Just glad it won't happen again.

Hey, we alumni did our best.  :`-(  But yes, it wasn't up to the pep band's usual level of excellence.  Thankfully a good number of undergrad bandies got off the plane from Anaheim and made it to Albany in time for Saturday's consolation game before going to Bridgeport for the Women's hoops game.

Is there an "indifference" smiley?
