In the WHCA play-in game on Thursday 3/20 Minnesota proved that like cats, gophers have multiple lives too and score the game winner late in regulation and beat St. Cloud State 3-2.

Denver's Anthony Mianini (Sp) just scored to put Denver ahead 2-1 with 1:20 left in the 3rd period. It was a really nice rush from the high slot in his own defensive zone to the UND net and a great backhand to the upper corner.

Edit: Denver gets an ENG and wins 3-1.

Crazy last 5 minutes at the Joe. ND had apparently scored a goal to go ahead 1-0 (called a goal by the ref on the ice) but they went to review and it was overturned; ruling was that the puck hit the post and didn't completely cross the goal line.

About 2 minutes later ND scores a "real goal". Miami then ties it up with the extra attacker with 4 seconds left in the game. That game is headed to OT.

BC has just tied it at 4. 15 minutes left in the 3rd.

More goal controversy tonight, this time from Boston.

18:30 into the 1st OT, UNH goalie came out to challenge a loose puck being chased down by a BC forward. Reagan dives at the puck, hits it, and loses his mask. UNH goalie thus out of the net and without his helmet. Another BC forward picks up the loose puck and scores.

At issue: Was there a whistle when the goalie lost his mask? Should the play been blown dead when the goalie loses his mask?

Verdict: No goal, play dead when goalie lost his hat.

BC and UNH still tied with 7 minutes left in the 2nd OT.

BC on a PP to close out the 2OT. If they do not score, they will have a minute of PP time to start the 3rd OT (clean sheet of ice and legs with a bit of rest).

UNH had a short-handed try, but no luck.

NMU just tied up their game at 2 with 4:54 left in the 2nd.

The Michigan defender pretty much got his pocket picked and mugged as the NMU player stole the puck and scored an unassisted goal.

They scored on a bad angle shot proving once again good things happen when you put the puck on net.
