Both Brown and Yale are likely upper division teams and are the toughest pair Cornell will face. Brown and Yale split over the last two weeks while Cornell swept Columbia.

Two wins this weekend is a tall order but would put the Red in great shape at 4-0 with at least four teams already sitting on two losses. Of course, Cornell hasn't won in New Haven since 2001...

Penn and Princeton play their first league games vs. H/D this weekend.

I plan to be at yale saturday. Anyone else making the trip to either game?

FYI guys...

Both games are available via video online.  Brown game is a small fee (you can purchase 15 minutes before tip off), and the Yale game is free.

You must visit their websites to get the video.

The hoops team won in Providence, 75-64 after being tied 33-33 at halftime.  Wittman had 21 points including 5-10 from long range, Dale had 15 along with 8 assists and 7 boards.  Outrebounded Brown 35-26.  The Red were 18-19 from the line while Brown were just 27-36; that must've made a huge difference.  Looks like a great road win.

Columbia beat Yale 71-58 tonight and the Ps swept at home. Now Columbia, Brown, Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard all have 2 losses already.

We'll know a lot more by the end of next weekend. What's most exciting is that this is a young team.

While I don't want us to get ahead of ourselves -- we still have to tackle what will be a tough Yale squad tomorrow -- having the P's next week gives us a chance to exorcise some ancient demons, especially against the Quakers.

Yes guys, Columbia did beat Yale, but the Bulldogs were without starting 6'11" center Matt Kyle.

With Kyle out of the game, Columbia's huge frontline overpowered Yale.

I have no idea if Kyle will be out tonight against Cornell.

Cornell has not won at Yale since 2001-- so this is going to be a tough game.

In other news, boths Ps won last night... so while we are playing well, Penn is still in our shadows waiting to strike.

A win tonight will be huge for us in this "14 game tournament".
