I'm more worried about the D than the O.  Having someone who can reliably shut down the other guy's top gun is a real luxury.  Belisle, McMonagle, and Vedder will really be missed.

Weren't we scared to lose Ryan McClay '03 from the defense? Sean Greenhalgh from attack two years ago? Joe Boulukos from the midfield last year? With Tambroni, as with Schafer, the quality of the players coming into the system doesn't seem to be as critical as the cohesion and teamwork instilled in a bunch of good-to-very-good recruits when going up against teams with very-good-to-great recruits.

That said, Cornell has its work cut out. Who knows if next year we use hockey to tide us over till lacrosse, or lacrosse to tide us over till hockey. And one of these years the football team will take off and win an unshared Ivy title.

This is eLynah. I'm hoping for the latter.

Let's not get carried away, here.

Damn that Dartmouth DB and his game-saving tackle in '90!

As well as Matt played this year and throughout his career, his off-field achievements may be even more impressive. His talent, commitment, and leadership will be missed.

It's too bad the article didn't mention anything about the 21 Run except its name. It's great that Matt got this award and we'll have a hard time replacing him.
