Appears that after Saturday, both Cornell men's and women's teams are on top.

According to the blogger pointed to above, it will be a "Cornell team sweep."  Have not checked any details or confirmed.

Women's 107 to PU 87

If the men and women track teams can hold on for the Hep sweep, it will be Cornell's 7th and 8th Championships of 2006-2007.  Another great year for Cornell athletics all-around.  I summarized our titles for the last three years below:

Having no conception of track scoring I have no idea how much of a margine that is.  Can anyone toss me a quick explanation?

For each event, you get 10 points for 1st 8 for 2nd 6 for 3rd 4 for 4th 2 for 5th and 1 for 6th. Those numbers that Jim posted were pretty late sunday so there were probably only a few events left.

From the Cornell Track Association list-serv:

The Big Red men tallied 180 points (the third highest point total
ever at the Heps) to turn the tables on host Princeton (who had won
this year's indoor meet), coming out on top by 47 points to claim
their fifth straight outdoor title and their 8th track Heps
championship in the last 10 indoor and outdoor meets.  The women won
10 events out of 23 en route to 179 points, 57 points clear of
runner-up Princeton as the Big Red women won their sixth straight
outdoor team title and an unprecedented 12th straight indoor and
outdoor track Heps team title.
