Truly stupid play-calling and time-out calling inside the 10.

Quote from: Ken711 on October 25, 2025, 03:18:35 PMRight. Took five weeks to find two backs who can run the ball. Now give them one QB who can pass it.Quote from: Al DeFlorio on October 25, 2025, 03:06:26 PMWe must have a QB who can hit an open receiver.
The season was sort of lost the moment their best offensive weapon Sam Musungu was declared out for the season with an offseason knee injury. I'd like to see the freshman QB get some reps. Must as well build towards next season.
Quote from: billhoward on October 25, 2025, 02:37:39 PMSwanstrom had a Brown time-out to think about it. And think about whether his QB can feather a pass over a defender to his receiver.Quote from: scoop85 on October 25, 2025, 02:19:10 PMI'm astounded at how often football coaches can't see what's in front of them.a) Fog of war.
b) Duffy Daugherty, Michigan State coach circa the Marinaro era (paraphrasing): "Monday morning, anyone can tell me the right play to run. On Saturday afternoon, coaches have 25 seconds." He also had a bunch of Yoga Berra-isms led by, "My only feeling about superstition is that it's unlucky to be behind at the end of the game."
Quote from: scoop85 on October 25, 2025, 10:19:37 AMShots pretty even.Quote from: dag14 on October 24, 2025, 10:34:16 PMWomen beat Harvard 5-2. The game was not as close as the score might indicate.
I thought otherwise. While we were the better team, Harvard looks improved and didn't make things easy on us. A few defensive breakdowns by Harvard was the difference.
Quote from: BearLover on October 22, 2025, 09:51:24 AMHalf-full: Great. He said he's coming back to get his degree. Happy to hear that.Quote from: Jim Hyla on October 22, 2025, 09:02:29 AMI'm literally just saying that a player saying he wants to earn his degree doesn't indicate much of anything about whether that player will stay four years, which is what others were suggesting.Quote from: BearLover on October 20, 2025, 10:50:18 AMQuote from: VIEWfromK on October 18, 2025, 06:13:17 PMLines like "I value getting my degree"/"my family has always valued education"/"hockey doesn't last forever and you always want a backup plan" are standard fare quotes—-I wouldn't read too much into them.Quote from: chimpfood on October 18, 2025, 05:59:34 PMBut the quote "I'm going to get my degree" is promising.
Like Angello getting his degree?
How can you be negative about this. Angello said he's coming back to get his degree. That's nothing but positive. You really had to stretch it this time.
Try to sit back and enjoy the good things in life. If you look for them, you'll find some, even in today's climate.
It was a different poster, not I, who brought up Angello leaving early despite "getting his degree."
Quote from: Ken711 on October 18, 2025, 02:21:42 PMCornell 9 Bucknell 7 at the half. At least one of my hopes for this game has happened. Leading rusher at the half with 51 yards is Air Force transfer Jordan Triplett. Also freshman RB John McAuliffe has 31 yards. Now let's see a freshman QB.
Quote from: RichH on October 18, 2025, 12:17:08 AMPlayer names were better sans serif. Look was cleaner.Quote from: sah67 on October 18, 2025, 12:09:47 AMQuote from: Give My Regards on October 17, 2025, 10:39:01 PMNot that it matters that much in an exhibition, but Katz did not play tonight. Keopple played into the second, with Cournoyer taking over for him.
Whoops...not sure how I blew that, but somehow Koepple at the start of the 2nd looked "different" to me. You're clearly right, especially now that I see Koepple's jersey number in some photos I took at the start of the 2nd.
Speaking of jersey numbers, the font seems different this year. Specifically, the "3" is a little weird.
