Quote from: ugarte on April 29, 2026, 08:54:53 PMno ivy players drafted. haven't seen if any were signed as udfa. the draft has gotten increasingly weighted towards the big conferences as it's easier to score and poach transfers who grow or outperform their high school projections.

Not drafted or udfa, but a few are camp invites.

Looking at the Spring Game highlights it was good to see that WR Sam Musungu is back playing, after missing last year with a knee injury.

Quote from: chimpfood on March 14, 2026, 11:36:14 PMIt's really heartbreaking to follow this team anywhere they go for Ivy madness and lose to Yale in a game that's never close every single year. We made the tournament 5 years in a row and only made the final once, never won, that just can't happen.

With all the seniors leaving it's hard not to feel like our window has closed, and our chance was in the last five years. I have no hope for the team in the near future, because there's just no talent. Really really upsetting loss for me.

Watching Penn-Yale, with Penn up 4 late in the 1st half. T.J. Power — the former blue chip Duke recruit who 1st transferred to UVA then this year to Penn - is dominating the game with 23 of Penn's 34 points. He's the type of big-time transfer we need to bring in if we want to stay near the top of the league.

He's the difference maker.  Cornell is starting to bring in good transfer recruits in football under Swanstrom, they need to do the same thing in the basketball program.

With the this Yale win today, and combined with the other game results around the Ivy League, Cornell is now in sole possession of fourth place and the final spot in Ivy Tournament with two games left to play.

I think Beeeej has been clearing them, but presumably has kinda given up for now. Sucks though because even when I want to go read through the older posts, 70% of them are Belarusian dentists or printers or shit like that.

Can't speak to JTW's availability, but personally I have had significant family commitments both similar to and dissimilar from Age's, and last week I was on a much-needed vacation leading into major surgery this coming Friday. I will do what I can find time to do over the next few days, but ironically it's while I'm recovering for a few weeks afterward that I'm likely to be able to take care of moderation expeditiously since I won't be working. I'll also reach out to Age again to remind him of the continuing problems.

Good luck with your surgery.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Following the successful completion of a $4 million fundraising campaign, Cornell Athletics will move forward with Phase 2 of the Cornell Field Hockey Complex, which includes construction of a team clubhouse and indoor training facility slated for completion in summer 2027.

The Phase 2 fundraising effort was fueled by a broad, collaborative coalition of Cornell alumni and supporters, reflecting a shared belief in the power of athletics to shape leadership, community and opportunity. While women's athletics alumnae and advocates played a leading role in the campaign, the effort also benefited from meaningful support from donors who have historically invested in men's athletics, supported other areas of the university, or were making their first gift to athletics.

Lead gifts from Marsha Dodson '75, Karin Bain Kukral '82, and Rebecca Quinn Morgan '60 made possible the construction of the indoor practice facility, completing the vision for a championship-caliber home for Cornell Field Hockey. Their leadership, along with the relentless work of a project advisory group and a project development committee (noted below), helped inspire a groundswell of participation that ultimately brought the project across the finish line.

I hope the athletic department is working on an athletics fund raising campaign to next replace the Teagle pool and Schoellkopf Stadium improvements as well.
