Have a friend who is on faculty at Dartmouth.  Won't share what they teach because that would give it away.  Suffice to say it's not an area with which you would associate jocks.  Said pleasantly surprised by how engaged the hockey players in the class were.  Also said they were very nice /respectful.  At which point, I said I don't want to hear anymore, as I want to dislike them

Quote from: arugula on July 30, 2026, 06:27:53 PMThat makes four against Atlantic Hockey. Bad!

With this OOC, the only helpful games are BU and Maine (maybe Omaha). With the league not great, we as always need to avoid slip ups.

Quote from: BearLover on July 30, 2026, 01:31:35 PM"College Puck NXT" released a ranking of teams' incoming classes and Cornell did not crack the top 25. Quinnipiac was 18, Harvard and RPI were honorable mentions (21-25), and no one else in conference made the list. I suspect these rankings are total crap, but it's not surprising Cornell isn't on there as our recruiting has been mediocre lately.

If our recruiting has been mediocre, I'd hate to see what bad looks like. Tournament every year.  Many draft picks.  Ask North Dakota and BU and Harvard and Denver about our recruiting.  For that matter, Western Michigan must really suck at recruiting.  Just watch the games.

Yes, as did I and thanks for getting back to me.

Unrelated.  For a variety of reasons, mostly Mainers visiting for Thanksgiving, I didn't want to get the Cornell section tickets for the Frozen Apple.  The general presale begins tomorrow.  Any idea of a presale code?  can't find one.

Heartily agree.  Dulles is terrible and terribly inconvenient.  BWI an excellent option

As a Rangers season ticket holder, every year I consider doing the doubleheader that Saturday,, with Rangers playing in the afternoon but then I decide I'd rather stay married.

Calgary visits MSG in the afternoon of the Frozen Apple. With Castagna?

Also, Jane is hired by the Sabres to create content. Great news for her.

Happy that the schedule stays  local-ish.  That California trip a few years ago just seemed wrong.  Call me old fashioned, but missing class for a week ain't a good idea.  I know I know they can take class remotely.

Cornell, université de l'État de New York.   Cornell, the State University of New York.

«[Les Badgers] ont gagné six championnats nationaux, a plaidé Cournoyer. C'est le programme en tant que tel et le fait d'avoir une meilleure chance de gagner un championnat national. »

"[The Badgers] have won six national championships," Cournoyer said. It's the program itself and having a better chance of winning a national championship. »

Here's hoping for an NCAA game between Les Badgers and the State University of New York (at Ithaca)

Goalies should always be 1, 30 or 31.

Defensemen should be single digits.  Forwards should be teens.  Either may be 20s.  The End.

This is correct. Goalie could also be 29 or 35 but that's it.

Forwards can edge down into the high singles.  Only Beliveau can go as low as four. Le Gros Bill.

Quote from: stereax on May 26, 2026, 01:43:26 PMNow who are the As gonna be... I want to say Catalano gets one? And maybe they hit one of our transfer sophomore Dmen (Fisher or Ashton) with one? Rest of the senior class is Kraft, Devlin, Fegaras. Could also see Kraft getting one a la FFJOL.
I'd be cool with that!
Whoever they choose will be a great Assistant!
You can't go wrong!

Not Fegaras.
