Hockey / G is a seated section
October 25, 2008, 05:31:20 PM
I had season tickets in section G in '04-05 and to my knowledge, that season the entire section was composed of students. While we were allowed to stand during games, the ushers did inform us that G is supposed to be seated section. So, technically you are supposed to sit in G.

The same issue of THN notes that the Dallas Stars have roster spots open and that Ray Sawada might be able to fill one (will be given a look at camp). Also, there is a photo of Moulsen and a blurb about the Kings signing their young talent.

Hockey / Re: The Hockey News 12/20 - Matt Moulson Blurb
December 28, 2005, 11:52:44 AM
Here is a summary of the article:

At one of Moulson's games in the Greater Toronto league an opponent player's  mother said Moulson was the worst player in the league. Moulson's dad was sitting close enough to hear it and was not happy. He then began working hard with Matt to help him improve and Matt got much better as a result. It talks about him being being a "sniper" with his Jr A. team, a consistent offense threat for Cornell (esp. on the PP), and there is quote from the Penguins management calling him "a natural goal scorer." Matt talks about the defensive system at Cornell and about wanting to win a national championship.

Hockey / The Hockey News 12/20 - Matt Moulson Blurb
December 26, 2005, 03:23:30 PM
In the 12/20 edition of The Hockey News in the "U.S. College Report" section there is a ~10 paragraph article about Matt Moulson. Short and interesting.

Hockey / Re: Cleaning Game-Worn Jerseys -- REALLY
December 20, 2005, 09:51:07 PM
Here are the care instructions:
1) Machine wash at cold setting
2) Do not use bleach
3) Tumble dry at low setting
4) Do not iron
5) Do not dry clean

Those are from the backside of the tab/tag inside my jersey.

Hope that helps.

Ha, it was Princeton Ticket office, non-607 #s.

I stopped by the ticket office today and the ticket salesperson said that they had sold all of the reserved seating, but SRO tickets go on sale at 6pm on the 14th. She agreed with billhoward, saying that there will be empty seats all over the place with all of the students at home and getting ready for exams.

Hockey / Re: [OT] a whiney Tulane student rant

I think the author let his expectations about how hard Cornell was going to be warp his perception of the reality of the difficulty of the coursework. As others have already stated, if a Cornell student visited Harvard or Yale, I'd be willing to wager they'd have just about the same thing to say about the courses at those "academically superior institutions." Tulane is a good school, the students who came from Tulane are probably some of their better students, and this being the case, these kids shouldn't be overwhelmed by the coursework/difficulty of Cornell.

As for Cornell students not liking Cornell, come on. Nearly every student that I met while in school had a love/hate relationship with the university. That is part of the experience of being there, and this kid just doesn't get that.

In the end, it is just a trite "we are as smart as those Ivy Leagurs" article. Talk to any graduate student about how much harder their undergraduate course work was than the undergraduate work is at the school they are currently at and you'll get something similar to this article.

Huh? I mean, we have our tickets already, but where are you getting this?[/q]

From people who have called the ticket office and been told the game is sold out. Whether that means its really sold out, I don't know.

Hockey / Re: Jan 14th @ Princeton Tickets On Sale Today
October 17, 2005, 04:03:07 PM
When I spoke with the ticket office they said that they will not process tickets orders until Nov. Apparently, they have to square away seats for the massive amount of season ticket holders before they distribute any tickets for single games. If anyone hears differently please post that information.
