I love the guy.  He's why I follow Cornell hockey.  But I think this has been an off year for him in terms of getting the most out of a hockey club.

Way too much reliance on a bunch of guys who are just not getting it done.  In past years, we've always made it further than our talent would suggest.  This year the reverse is true.  I think you have to chalk at least some of that up to coaching.

Tech has plenty to lose.  Pairwise rankings for starters.

You've said it twice and I agree with you both times.

My only edit might be instead of we "didn't look sharp" we "had no heart and no guts."  It's ugly to look at on the screen, but I think that's the real deal.

That said, we have much to look forward to (and I'm not giving up on this season): Mugford, Seminoff, Sawada (fingers crossed),this year's freshman class, Krantz, Fontas, the goalies getting better, Coach Schafer pulling his head out of his ass (and he will).

LGR!

Report from Thompson after two:
1) This looks like the team that went on the losing streak in January - we fundamentally have not shown up.
2) First goal Davenport had no chance, second, he has no excuse.
3) Both Sawada interference and Romano tripping penalties were horrible calls.

Hooking penalty (!?!) -- this is really frustrating given how well they played last weekend.

Feels like we're being seriously outskated.

McLeod's play has been surprisingly good this year, given that he's a converted forward with just fair speed.  He makes very few mental/positioning mistakes and handles the puck/passes well.

Report from Thompson Arena after one period.  We look very disorganized, 5X3 was pathetic, we're not going to the net -- just a lousy period for us.  Dartmouth isn't scary at all on offense.

We need to play better -- and can.
