And how do you score a penalty shot shorthanded?  Maybe you were on the penalty kill when it was awarded but penalty shot pretty much implies 1 on 1.

They did give the quotation that I hope becomes a new Lynah cheer.  One of the studio announcers during the break before the overtime said, "Michigan can't PP."  Maybe just because I have a 3 year old but that struck me as hilarious.

Anyone else trying to listen to Union's radio feed?  Two sentences and rebuffer is a lousy way to enjoy hockey.

Just to update your NW memories the beer pub movies are $3 now.  Still good beer though and they didn't increase it's price 200% either.  A pretty bleak corner of the US for college hockey, even Florida has better college hockey, at least one weekend a year.

I'll bet the crowd could have found intensity all the way the end of 6-0 against Harvard.  Just saying the perceived rivalry definitely comes into play.

Maybe two goalies and the extra bench space for cleaner line changes is more valuable than a third goalie you don't plan to play.

What a week!  Bush is checked and balanced rather than "fair and balanced" and the French are bringing me Cornell hockey...

Actually I think the Harvard-Colgate is women's hockey.  The announcer said something about she's having trouble in the corner.  CSTV must have bought some seriously exclusive broadcast rights.

A fun article and certainly one to share with anyone who hasn't seen Cornell Hockey in person.  But I do think the line about Cornell fans outnumbering Harvard fans at Lynah East is generous.  Certainly outshouting, overwhelming, or understanding more about the game could all be true statements.  But when I've been there there were always more quantity if not quality of Harvard fans sitting quietly listening to the Big Red Band.

Well Ron's Sport's Page is a bust as well as the Silver Dollar.  Ron's I checked in person and Silver Dollar I called by phone.  If we still want to watch tomorrow hopefully someone will have ESPNU.   Sounds like Seattle didn't do so well either.  The OSU audio feed will have to do for today.

  I'm thinking about trying the Upper Deck, but I don't know if they will show the game.  I do know that Damon's at Jantzen Beach and a dumpy place on Mill Plain near I-205 in Vancouver don't get the ALT channel.  My plan is to try Ron's Sport's page in Vancouver and if that doesn't work to drive down town.   Let me know if you find something I'd be happy to join you.
