I actually got the info from a friend who works at a bar in town and seems to know everything about stations around here. I can't claim credit on this one. But it did, in fact, show up on my guide when I looked. Not that I'm particularly happy that I got to watch...

Channel 1026. I have never even seen that channel on my guide before, but there it is.

Sawada playing right now (on Versus) and hitting everything that moves.

THANK you, ugarte. I've been screaming at the TV about the "equivalency" statement they continue to make. So infuriating. Glad to know misery has company.

With the finishes that have already transpired in the last two days, these guys are already calling Barlow's goal a game winner. I am impressed I've lasted this long without muting it.

You must be kidding. Longest 17 seconds coming up.

I'm there plus 4. I've been there every year Cornell's made it in the last 4 years or so, but have yet to find a bar on Saturday night post-game where Cornell people gather. Any suggestions? Did I miss this topic?

Hockey / Re: Cornell-RPI Postgame (Game 1) 3/13/09

RPI survived last weekend and last night by clutching and grabbing and getting away with it. They took advantage of the fact that the refs were letting everything go, and played as well as they possibly could have with their skill level and system. Give them credit for hanging around and making it more difficult for Cornell than it needed to be. Hopefully a change in refs will create a game, as Schafer pointed out, a little more similar to hockey. Granted, Cornell was (theoretically) guilty as well, but there were several long shifts when RPI players repeatedly held, hooked, and high-sticked Cornell players. Infuriating, but with one or two bounces and conversions on power plays (however infrequent they may be), they'll be all right.

Hopefully a nice gift for Dallas, too. They've been hit big time by the injury bug. Sawada may not be Brendan Morrow or Brad Richards, but players in their first game as a Star have had some incredible performances lately (Fabian Brunnstrom, Mark Parrish, Richards, etc.). Best of luck to him. I've been wearing his jersey at Cornell games for four years now.

Yeah, sorry about the podcasts being slow in appearing (or nonexistent). It's been a real nightmare getting those up there, with a mix of miscommunication from the station, lack of technical prowess on our end, and lately, real hassles with the phones. I don't like to complain about that kind of thing (although you'll hear some interesting language on the subject during the podcast), but MAN has it been frustrating.
Sorry--we're trying. Thanks for all the i.m.s, calls, and emails. They make the show a lot more fun.

This may have been discussed already somewhere, but I can't find it...
Cornell vs. Q tiebreak (if necessary)...
1st thing is head to head (tied)
2nd thing is record vs. top 4. This is a bit strange because one of them is probably going to be 4th, but at this point, Cornell is 1-4-1, Q is 1-3-1. If both teams lose tomorrow, the teams are tied in both categories.
What is the next tiebreaker? I could probably look this up, but I'm far too lazy and disappointed.

Show is delayed right now. Some pretty major technical issues. We'll hopefully be up and running soon, but no guarantees. A potential station hero is here trying to work it out.
