The most blatant missed call on us was when Brendon Nash just took down one of their players by climbing over his back along the boards. I had to yell "Murphy sucks" on that one it was so blatant. I still can't figure out the icings in the first period.
The funny thing about that particular incident is that Murphy watched it happen and waved it off.  Officiating was horrible both ways; it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt. Hopefully Taylor is alright.

That was a great game to watch.  It seemed like cornell gained confidence as it went on and carried the momentum at the end of the game.  I couldn't imagine what it would have sounded like if we scored at the end.  Crowd presence was the best it's been all year.

One thing I think is worth noting is that this was problably the best reffing job I have ever seen at the college level.  That guy was very good at letting the bulls*t go and calling stuff that was actually a penalty.  I hope we see more of it.

Undisciplined, Hah!! That second period needs to be addressed by the league.  Dell Was aweful.  The penalty shot should havenever happened, the defender knocked the puck away before the Q player was tripped, at most it deserved a 2 min.  This is just one complaint of many.

Scrivens IMHO played a very good game.  He handles the puck very well and offers a lot more confidence than I saw in Davenport last night.  Two powerplay goals and a Penalty shot is tough to complain about.

My opinion of the game is that it took a lot of moxie to weather the second period and finish the game the way they did.  The team is growing, this season should prove to be exciting with all the talent we have.
However, if it is as bad as it sounds, it could be a whole season without him and it could jeopardize his whole career. I truly hope that is not the case.
Good thing he went to Cornell, his future looks pretty good with or without hockey.

Are you saying I should sell my season tickets while they're worth something?  What would your position be had they won tonight? Best team in the nation for the next decade?  ::smashfreak::

What an awsome game!! We dictated play almost the entire time.  I can't think of one time when tech had pressure on us and took it beyond one faceoff in our zone.  We had a couple special teams breakdowns but it seemed like we were trying to do some new stuff on the PP with some new personel.  Hopefully a little time will iron out the wrinkles.

Tonight might have been the breakout game for Greening, his first goal was sptacular.  That is what I expected to see out of him from presason scouting reports, he has a huge upside.

I thought that we were putting the puck to the net from any and all anles more often tonight than I've seen from a schafer era team.  It was a great sight to see and I hope we can build on it.
Agreed- if there's a real check from behind on the play... no one who knows how to skate much less play hockey goes down from that "hit"
Exactly, if krantz skated into him and planted him from behind there is no question that is a 5er.  Since they were both standing there and Krantz shoved him into the boards, 2 minutes, at most.  I think the Colgate player put himself in a more dangerous position by diving than Krantz did by shoving him.  I am glad, however, that the situation turned into a charater builder rather than a crushing one.

I was suprised, as were the announcers on the telecast.  It was soft live and even softer on the broadcast.  Was it a disqulification or misconduct?  Will we see Krantz Friday??
ps:  the 5 minute misconduct was bogus!  I just saw the replay, and it looked as weak as when I saw it in Lynah.
+1.  I thought the game was well called up to that point.  That would have been a perfect situation for a dive and a boarding call.  Give that guy an oscar he deserved it.
Does Davenport/Scrivens get the same defensive support that McKee received?  I ask the question from the outside looking in and if you ask me, no way.
In the colgate game i would say yes they did.  If you only stop 10 shots in a game and lose I think you have to look at the goltending. One thing I would like to point out about our successful PK in years past is that the credit was  always givin to our #1 penalty killer, whether it was lenny, underhill, or McKee.  I think that when our PK becomes successful again we will not have as much to talk about regarding the 'goaltender situation.'  9 time out of 10 you win that game 2-1, unfortunately this was the 10th game.

If we switched goaltenders with CU thursday night what would the score have been?
