Could somebody please yell Barry Leonard that when you take a commercial break with a minute to go and say "we'll be back with the finish" and then take another commerical with 15 seconds to go, its kind of disingenuous©

Oh yeah, and Cornell lost©

Probably for the first time since the games at BU, Cornell will not be favored going into tomorrow's game©©© I don't know about the rest of you but I'll personally feel less dread watching the game knowing that the team isn't "supposed"  to win and I wouldn't be surprised if that feeling allows the team to relax and better play their game tomorrow©   On the other hand, I know that I ¥and I bet a lot of fans and perhaps the players¤ will look back on this season as one of unfulfilled promise if they don't win tomorrow©© an ECAC title would have done the trick, but now the Final 4 is almost a must in my mind©

I too am looking for a place to watch the game in the city tomorrow©©© I just called Blondies and was told that they have no reason to believe they wouldn't put it on, but they won't know for sure until they "get their schedule" later today, whatever that means©  I'm guessing they need to see the total array of sporting events that are on at that time to see if college hockey can make the cut on one of their TVs©  I suggest everyone interested in going there call them so they know that there's a lot of interest©

The YES network schedule lists an NCAA quarterfinal game to be broadcast at 3:30 on Sunday (this is not listed on the NCAA site as of yet)... no other game at that time as far as i know so I'll assume thats the Cornell game (and I'll assume god doesn't continue to curse Cornell in this playoff year and have them lose to a MAAC team).  This is good news for those of us in NYC especially (who don't have Cablevision of course).

I'll just say that irrespective of Cornell's performance against RPI and Dartmouth or the fact that RPI is a "hot team" or the issue of getting revenge on Dartmouth, if you told me that in the PIG one team would have 35 shots and the other 18, I'd rather Cornell face the team that put up 18 and was back on their heels for 58 minutes of hockey the night before the semifinal, no matter which team it is.  And yes, I know that means Marsters played a great game yesterday, but I refuse to believe he'll outperform Underhill with everything on the line.

A second call to the P.A.C.C. and a conversation with a different employee reveals that they will get the game and can spare a TV.

I just called the Park Ave CC and spoke to a very dimwitted woman who told me that they wouldn't be showing Cornell/Yale because "they don't get AHL games."  When i told it its a college game in the ECAC, she said she "didn't see ECHO games on her shcedule" either.  The end result was that she didn't see the game on her schedule (maybe because the deal to  broadcast the game was made last week.)  I know from past experience that they do get Empire sports there, so they should have the game.

I'll be there anyway watching the Ivy League Basketball Tournament Final (or whatever you want to call it), so i'll ask then if they can get the hockey game on, but the best bet is for anyone else who wants to try it to give them a call and badger them about it before heading over.

I like the fact that the author thinks a hockey program can be funded by a 50/50 raffle©©©© throw in a few bake sales and maybe they can build a 15,000 seat arena to play in©
