(The home page of the QU website Saturday read, "Students give Quinnipiac high marks." Sort of like Harvard if one reversed subject and predicate.)
From USCHO Recap:

When asked about Harvard having scored 18 goals in its last two games, Cornell netminder McKee replied with a far steelier glare and tone.

"They're playing us tomorrow."--

attaboy Dave! That's the confidence we're looking for!

Cheery for the SUCKS loss is also so that they dont' have any kind of momentum going into tonight's game. THough I had hoped for a tie, I'm by no means upset at the outcome.

I agree that A/B were very bad last night. Whenever Ari started the LGR cheer, nobody followed...that was very frustrating. Let's hope we bring the A game tonight...

Hockey / Re: Lynah: Cornell 4 Colgate 1 Postgame

Our intensity definitely met the challenge of a good (but overrated...) Colgate team. I felt that our guys were chasing every lose puck, and having some bounces go our way didn't hurt. Amazing 5 on 3 kill at the end 1st/start 2nd.  Let's bring the same tommorrow to Starr, but I expect Colgate will make some adjustments and also have their home advantage.  Too bad it's sold out or I'd be there.  LGR!!!
That interference call was somewhat reasonable. Sawada skated across the blue line and held one of their players up as Topher was bringing the puck in the zone. I agree with everyone that McDonald was pretty Inconsistent last night though. I don't know how we came out of that one scrum in front of the net with more penalties than Clarkson did.
I was thinking whether or not they were gonna call interference prior they called it because it was pretty obvious that Sawada skated to the spot where the Clarkson guy was skating too. As it occurred, Sawada didn't really touch the guy at all, but I guess he did alter the Clarkson skater's path.  I'm not sure how interference is called, but if it's anything like soccer, i'd say it was a decent call given the nature of the play

What format is the video source in?

If you have XP, you can probably use Windows Movie Maker 2 (comes with XP) to get some clips.  That'd probably be the easiest way.

is it just me or did mckee look...well...depressed?

I saw that when he was preparing the ice in front of the net in the third, he was doing it very slowly and spent most of the game sluggish.  There didn't seem to be any fire in him, just trying to get by.

And what was up with the Tuba tonight?  I think that summed up the game, though I did laugh a lot....

Hockey / Another Shirt?
November 08, 2005, 09:07:17 AM
I was thinking of T-shirt ideas and was wondering if anyone would be interested in one that looks like this:

http://people.cornell.edu/pages/js429/pics/tshirt.jpg

I think they'd be about $15 per shirt (the back says, in smaller font, CU Hockey 2005)

A little pricey, just wondering if there was any interest at all..

Incredible comeback, but the red broke our hearts in the 2nd.  Some of those calls by Feola were questionable though.

There was a lot of blood on the ice when Pegoraro got hit.

We have a bunch of chances the last 2 minutes or so, but just couldn't capitalize.  1-1 is not bad.  I'll take it...

There was one annoying "fan" in B that started shouting "you're not playing like the big red, you playing like the big sucks, get your act together"  What an idiot.  There will always be one of those guys.

B was as loud if not louder than last night.   Amazing spirit.

Did I hear a little cowbell hiccup in the 3rd? or was that just my imagination?

One thing I've still noticed about the student section is that when we score, we still don't have the number of "sieve's" down and also the number of "it's all your fault"

hopefully we will all get more practice tonight.

Lynah was a bit empty during the player intros, but we filled up pretty quickly.  It was LOUD last night, and I hope it's the same tonight.

Freshmen:  Barlow, Mugford, Seminoff (didn't really see or notice the other freshmen) played fairly well, but as you know they committed a majority of our penalties.  For their first game, I was certainly impressed.  There was one play in the third (I think) where Mugford skated through 3 or 4 MSU guys in traffic which I was impressed with.

Dave McKee was amazing as usual, and was helped out by one of two lucky breaks.  There was one heart stopper in the second when the puck was just frozen there next to the pipe until our D cleared it.

I think this is the best I've seen us carry the puck up the ice this early in the season since 2002.

And finally, our PK was amazing.  That 5 min stretch didn't even seem like an MSU PP.

Can't wait for tonight's game.  LGR
