Can someone post an update when the Zephyr hats become available?  Thanks!

Jordan, going to seven consecutive Mets home openers is nothing to be proud of.

Getting back to the issue of the hats, are they available on-line at all, like at the Campus Store's site?  I can see references to it at store.cornell.edu, but I don't think I see anything like the hats pictured above in this thread.

If I'm being a doofus and it's clear where one can see it and buy it, forgive me...

Is anyone planning on taking the 5:01 train from Penn Station (that's New York Penn Station, not Newark Penn Station :-D  )?

Thanks.

Continuing off-topic discussion...

Rich, let's just say that I heartily disagree with you.  The Oakland Athletics' fan base is downright pathetic, and a great deal of those who do show up for games show no class whatsoever.  The Coliseum wasn't even half full for the deciding game of the playoff series against the Yanks in 2001.  Even espn.com included a note after that game about how the A's fans were characteristically absent.

I don't hate the Red Sox, but I thoroughly detest the Mets and the A's.

(whew...  Okay, deep breath...)

I'm there.  Thanks very much for putting this together.  Hope there's a big, rowdy crowd cheering for the Red.

There were about ten or so people there for the CU-BC Everblades game last week.  We took the back room, which had lots of flat screen TVs (albeit with distorted pictures -- what the hell) and a pool table.  If the venue isn't already chosen for the happy hour, Ship of Fools is a very good spot.

That back room could probably hold, what, fifty people?  It would be sweet to have a good crowd cheering on the Red...

Chalk up two more who will be in attendance at Ship of Fools.  See you there!

You guys were absolutely right.  It is "Stars and Stripes Forever".  I didn't realize that there were two separate tunes or sections in it.

Well, so, is there anything we can get going to that tune?  It's a great one, and goes very nicely with singing something at a game...  Is "Here We Go, Here We Go, Here We Go" the only thing we can think of?  It would be nice to chant a particular player's name to it, but players are only around for three or four years, so a song that achieves critical mass can soon go the way of the dodo (we need look no further than the Baby song, which was a complete gem).  There also aren't a lot of guys on the team with names that would fit nicely into it, either.  ("Dave McKee, Dave McKee, Dave McKee"...  ?  Meh.)
