Quote from: TrotskyI would add one puck bounce.
Quote from: VIEWfromKQuote from: BearLoverThat was the first time Cornell looked this way the entire season.
I don't see the game quite the same on tv as I do from my perch at Lynah but I saw a lot of pleasant things in their approach. Someone earlier mentioned how they didn't overpass and that was true on all three goals. Penney did a great job of buying time to get into an even better scoring position. Mack showed us earlier in the season that he has the scoring touch and proved it by making a b-line for the net on both of his goals. I can see in my mind's eye an unnecessary pass being made in each of these situations, especially on the third goal with Stanley streaking for the net but the guys did a great job of keeping it simple and taking matters into their own hands. Even on tv I still noticed how passive the Maine defenders were. I saw multiple times where their guys just seemed to cower and allow a Big Red player the space to make a play. At the other end of the rink I thought Cornell used their speed to get into the right positions to make the defensive play the rest of the night after the Maine goal. It looked to me like most of those plays were stick on puck instead of having to lay out to block a shot. They played the way they needed to play to win that game. Pretty neat to see they have some variety to their game. Hopefully that makes it tough for any opponent to get a book on them.
Quote from: scoop85Indeed, though must not be that hard for Will Smith, with a hat trick (one banked off a D-man) + ENG against BU that night.Quote from: DLSLU's lone goal compared to BC's first goal last night, both top shelf, far corner. Man, that looks hard.
And especially hard for a right-hand shot
Quote from: BearLoverQuote from: sah67In four years of sitting in the student section with everyone yelling "fuck 'em up," never once did I see someone tossed out for that.Quote from: BearLoverBut the question still remains—what's wrong with Gary Glitter? The students have been dropping F-bombs during that song for 20 years.
And the ushers have been tossing some of them out for that to "make an example" off and on over the last 20 years (although they do seem to have chilled out on the ejections during the last few years). Maybe it was an Andy Noel thing, and the new AD wants to have a better reputation with the students? That's been my impression at least, although I think having ECAC brass in the building (like last night) causes sphincters to tighten up a bit amongst athletics staff.
Quote from: TrotskyI love Tim, but I am going to start counting No Question About Its.It's just a shame I can't hold my liquor ::drunk::
Quote from: Chris '03Sh!t, yeah that's the right timing alright. Was road tripping to Ithaca while it was up.Quote from: WillQuote from: DLAh. Geez, I must have been AWOL when that was available. Or was it that far back?
Age's livestream of games goes back 20 years or more.

Quote from: ugarteAh. Geez, I must have been AWOL when that was available. Or was it that far back?Quote from: DLAge is the founder of this site. He used to do set up a camera at Lynah and stream the games himself until the athletic department made him stop, and replaced him with a product that was (a) not free and (b) less reliable.Quote from: ugarteIs that the online stream? That's what I've been saving, but is there an archive or something?Quote from: RichHthat was definitely one of the advantages of having the Age M. videoQuote from: TrotskyShane covers with 2.2 seconds. Come on, Mike.
No coverage of the Senior Night festivities, although they did cut to it for about 10 seconds before it turning back to the infinite ESPN+ ad. Pity.

Quote from: BearLoverQuote from: DLThey're both fine. Grady just needs to eliminate the tangents. It was truly bizarre that, with the game hanging in the balance, Grady launched into a minute-long discussion about last weekend's attendance.Quote from: BearLoverWhy is Grady talking about crowd size with 2 minutes to go and Brown's goalie pulled? At least Grady's tangents are short and hardly detract. I'll take anything he cares to mention about any day of the week over Tim "No Doubt About It" Vanini's drawn-out, repetitive ramblings that almost never add any useful information and is borderline homer. I mute the feed anytime he starts talking. He has been a lot better lately with the tangents but this one was inexcusable.
