Waldman again showing range on the step down rocket from WAY out
#2
everybody getting to contribute
Dalton, Luzzi, Bozzi all with goals in addition to the more common names
#3
losing Dalton on the backside crease for the 1st goal I can see. so many other scoring options whose jersey number might be a higher priority
but for the same set to work on the next possession with Kirst being unguarded is just real bad defense
#4
at least the ESPN+ site shows the correct game time
Hopefully the broadcast will pick up the opening faceoff

Just took a glance at the schedule on the Cornell Athletics website and it is showing game time as 3pm against Albany
Was thinking it was an evening game, maybe moved up because April is starting off with highs in the low-40s ?

Anyways, just an FYI to the forum if you likewise were thinking this was a 6pm or 7pm game

without even getting in to whether the program should become an active portal shopper as a regular strategy

is there really consensus that Keopple wouldnt be a reasonable backstop to the defense next year
not sure there has been sufficient starts to say he doesnt have what it takes
sure he didnt platoon this year with Shane who was a returning Richter award finalist and senior, that doesnt mean he cant step up next year

10-1 at the half.
is this an opportunity to get some minutes from players down the depth chart?

trying to enjoy this season, but the number of senior starters is going to be a challenge for next year
would be nice to have some of the underclassmen at multiple positions get some time

while the whole sequence was nice, on replay how good the saucer pass from Mack to Major was stood out
Major made that look easy, and I would venture there arent many guys on the team with the hands to collect that and then send it back

has/will NIL money move in to wrestling?
if so, is it more likely to allow PSU to continue to dominate the team title, or allow someone like Nebraska to close the gap faster?

I thought PSU was running away with the team title (again)
But they lost a fair number of matches today and Nebraska multiple wrestlers still in the hunt

Can Nebraska close the gap?

watch the Shapiro match. got the ankle pick/single leg so many times and couldnt generate points from it
not sure if Shapiro thought he could surprise him by going for an upper body throw or that was just the opening he had
whatever the strategy, Taylor was too strong/defensive to go down and then countered for points (twice)

will be some tough film review

significant turn was the unforced turnover when we were on the EMO, up 7-4
PSU long pole scored in transition to make it 7-5

Cornell coaching staff will look back on use of timeouts as well

Learning opportunities, tough Princeton squad up next
(would be nice to have field temps above 45)

I need to go back and watch the replay
but I agree, I didnt think possession was established, both players ran in for GB with heads down
how does Cascadan draw the 2min non releasable there ??

strange game, was trying to remember the last time I saw a contest with a total of zero man up situations
(not saying that Cornell didnt have some no-calls, were certainly a few pushes and moving picks I thought Richmond got away with)

Casscadan won a ton of faceoffs cleanly out the front, and then bobbled the scoop leading to an eventual Richmond groundball
Is this a technique issue? Stick head well suited to controlling the clamp but not securing the GB?

speaking from VERY limited knowledge... one of the field hockey specific requirements is the field should not be crowned
I think outdoor fieldturf fields are still crowned to encourage drainage, and this has obvious impact on the roll of the ball

so not only astroturf instead of fieldturf, but drainage and grading for a truly flat playing surface is desired
that said I am surprised that Ithaca or Cortland dont have a suitable field (maybe scheduling is more the challenge? )
