Is anyone by chance recording the video feed of tonight's game?  It might turn out to be a classic.

One of my friends wanted me to ask this...to settle a bet with someone, so if anyone knows the answer, chime in.  What color was the sweater that sweater guy was wearing?

A few friends and I made the trip to 'Gate last year (also a 2-1 loss, but in overtime :-/ ).  We were greeted by heckling drunks pretending to be students and who taunted us with their inflatable sheep (uh, Vermont?).  It was cool that enough Cornell fans went to fill a section of bleachers though, given that the weather was a tad snowy if I remember correctly.

I must say the hot apple cider was good though, but other than that there are no perks for a trip to Hamilton, unless cow tipping is your fancy.  Fortunately the Red rebounded and smacked them 3-1 at Lynah the following night.

Thanks for the info!  I'll just be getting into town that morning/afternoon, but will try my best to make it, and I let some other CU alum friends know too.

LGR!

By the way, any chance you guys could keep the video rolling at the end until after the Cornell players do their fan salute?  :-)  Right now it drops down the blue score screen after handshakes, but if you add another minute of footage you get the salute too.

Some sites will do an auto-detection to set it initially, but then they have ~3 buttons, usually labelled something like:

Dial-up
Cable modem/DSL
T1 or higher

and I believe the speeds usually fall somewhere around, respectively:

56kbps
128-300kbps
300-512kbps

This amounts to the higher bandwidth streams being able to produce a larger default image in the browser window.

Just to update everyone on this...I got a new phone finally, and using Verizon's GetItNow browser with the Ringster 2.0 app, found "Give My Regards to Davy" in the "Fight Songs - Other" category.  It doesn't sound half bad, though I'm unsure if it does the Big Red Band justice. :-D

I liked the idea someone came up with a while ago...of putting flyers (or maybe quartercards - saves some paper) on the seats through the student sections, with maybe some clarifications of the most frequently convoluted cheers, and a link to eLynah.com like what someone said above.  This probably wouldn't be very expensive...and at the very least would give people more ammo at the start of the game during the opposing team introductions :-P

On the matter of the 'see ya' cheer again... what if it were just shortened to 'Ahhhhhhhhh....SEE YA GOON!'  This way, we 1) eliminate the unnecessary vulgarity 2) make it abundantly obvious that the word 'lose' simply does not fit into the cheer (I'm sure after a few times of saying 'SEE YA LOSE' people would realize their folly), and 3) open the door for other creative variations.  I was at the Mercyhurst game Saturday night (quite possibly the only game I'll get to see at Lynah this season), and I'll admit it seemed rather awkward chanting 'SEE YA... {long pause} ...YOU GOON!

By the way, I was relieved that the band decided not to play Gary Glitter a 4th time after the timeout in OT.  ::snore::

Just to follow up on this, I was able to reach somebody at i2sports via phone about 5 mins before the start of the game Friday night, and he was very friendly and helped set me up with a username and password for the new system (apparently my email program filtered out the automated message they sent notifying subscribers of the change).

They reduced the size of the video window though.  I tried opening the vid feed directly in Windows Media Player, so that I could scale it up, but there was discolorings in the image for some reason that were not present when I viewed it embedded in the web page.  Maybe they could let you adjust the size based on your bandwidth.
