Surprise! According to the Ivy League men's lax schedule page (https://ivyleague.com/calendar.aspx?path=mlax&season=2023), we've clinched a spot in the ILT semis and also the final. I believe in Buczek and yeah we've been dominant, but ...

Here's the live link for tomorrow (5 p.m. ET, I think). The link will be active if we play Baylor--not sure about link though if Lamar is victorious today. http://www.baylorbears.com/sports/m-tennis/live-stats-video.html

Wondering if Ryan's NHL debut will be Sunday against the Devils. It's his home state and Pru Center is also where Colin Greening got in an NHL game for the first time. Check out photo. An omen?

Hockey / January 4 Viewing Parties

Faithful,

I thought Village Pourhouse could be trusted for tonight's event, but I just called the manager to triple check that everything was set for our game tonight. He says he's now sure they won't have Root Sports and is trying to hook up a feed from his computer to the TV. Doesn't sound good. Meanwhile, I checked with Bleecker Street Bar and was told they get Root Sports--DTV 683. (Bleecker Street Bar is right at the 6 train on Bleecker near Bowery. It's also very close to the D, B, M and F stop at Broadway/Lafayette.) The person I spoke with got the channel. Apologies for the inconvenience. Text me at 646-234-0793 for further info and/or meet us at Bleecker Street Bar. It's only a five-minute walk/jog from Village Pourhouse!

LGR!

New York City!!!

In Manhattan, Village Pourhouse at the corner of Third Ave. and 11th Street has DirecTv and gets Root Sports. It has agreed to put on the game vs. Denver (number of TVs with game on will depend on number of you who show). Gametime is 9:30 p.m. ET on Friday, January 4. Please post if you expect to make it.

Let's get as many Faithful at Ship of Fools 82nd and 2nd) as possible. Who's in? Who can get there early, say 7:15, to make sure we're set up with at least one well-placed TV? (Not me, only gametime arrival possible). Anybody want to volunteer to call the bar in the afternoon to set things up? We may have to agree to buy a minimum of $25 of drinks, etc. per Faithful. Good negotiators and ILRees, please step up. LGR!

Going through a little hockey withdrawal this wknd? I've got a FREE extra nosebleed ticket to see the Rangers play Carolina at MSG this Monday (crowd energy should be awesome), and I want to go with a fellow Faithful. Might have seen some of you at Ship of Fools on the 18th. Was there with my wife and baby daughter. Be the first to e-mail me Henrik Lundqvist's clubhouse nickname at moskcraig@att.net and you will join me on Monday. Oh, yeah, you buy the beer!
I will post again in this thread once the ticket is spoken for!

Craig

TICKET TAKEN!!!
