In the ECAC post about about Malinski being nominated for the best defensive defenseman, it said he "was also near the top of the lineup in minutes." I've never seem this stat for Cornell. Anyone know it it's available anywhere?

The team hates Florida.  I was sitting next to the parent of a player at one of the games.  The parent said that when the son was a freshman he expressed enthusiasm about going to Florida in December and the seniors were "well, not exactly."  They all know that have never play well in Estero.  They have to leave on the 26th, practice on the 27th and play the next day.  They just want to get back to Ithaca and get on with season.

The tournament webpage, which presumably should know, has it the 29th and 30th.

It was interesting to see what nonparticipating school had the most fans based on jerseys.  Minnesota seemed to be on top.  A lot of North Dakota – they will definitely send a good contingent to Lynah.  Also a  solid representation from New Hampshire and Maine.  (The Maine contingent surprised me after their generally feeble showing at Estero over the years.)  A number from Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State.  Some BC, Denver and Colorado College.  Among the ECAC Cornell had the most by a pretty wide margin, Clarkson second.  A wide scattering of other schools, St. Cloud State, Union, Bowling Green, Massachusetts, etc.  Of the Ivies I did see two-three Dartmouth and Princeton supporters, one Brown, one Yale.  But Harvard?  Not one.  In two nights.
For all you history buffs, has a good team ever been beaten this badly? Someone has to be able to put this in perspective.
1973 -- BU 9-CU 0, Clarkson 10-CU 1.  Cornell went 23-5-1, won the ECAC and lose to Wisconsin 6-5 in the NCAA semis.

Harvard put 32 shots on goal (27 saves, 5 goals allowed) against Cornell's John Detwiler in Harvard's 13-0 victory in February 1959.

Arthur Mintz's still useful Cornell Hockey Record Book lists the Cornell record for SOG is 80 against Colgate in January 1971 and Loyola in 1973.  (Cornell 8 -- Colgate 2, Cornell 13 -- Loyola 5). There are no period records but they surely must have exceeded 30 shots in at least one period in those games.  The Colgate game was at Starr Rink, by the way.

Same problem as last year -- special teams.  In 2006-7 we were the best team in the ECAC at even strength but the special teams killed us.  RIT 2-4 on the PP Cornell 0-7.

As for being muscled.  This is not a big team.  I was looking at the program for the 2005 quarterfinals with Clarkson.  We started eleven 200 pounds or more players compared to five last night.

I can't get on at all (can't find URL) and seem to have lost six bucks.

I contacted the Georgetown ticket office and they said they are anticipating a sellout so if you are planning to buy tickets on the day of the game get there early.

If Nash is considering not coming, he'll have to make up his mind damn soon.  Freshman orientation begins a week from today.

Just keep in mind that this is this year's master plan.  Master plans come and go.

I've been told that the reason Bradfield Hall is so oddly sited with no entrance onto Tower Road is because the master plan at the time called for building a connecting road from Tower Road to Forest Home Drive so Bradfield would have been on the corner.

Roeszler looks like a really good pickup, but what's the reputation of the WOJHL?
