Hockey / Re: 2020-21 Schedule

Despite the uncertainty of all NCAA sports, should there be a hockey season 2020-2021, has a complete schedule of CU opponents be announced at this point  other than North Dakota and Yale at MSG, I'm anxious to hear the remaining non conferenced opponents assuming the Iyy's stick with the 29 game limit.

It always seems like we end up behind the 8 ball with scheduling whether it be early season or after break.
A few examples. CU is the only team in the Vegas tourney to have not played a game since the break.  Along with that.
we have played the fewest games to date in the entire country at 11 and the fewest home games at 4.  It's understandable to
want to play two exhibition games prior to the start of the season since Ivy's are at a disadvantage out of the gate but wondering
if it would be wiser to play one early exhibition and one after the break to prepare for second half. We just seem to play on an
uneven playing field too much.  Done whining.  Go Red!

Hockey / Re: 2019-20 Schedule

Here's hoping a final schedule is forthcoming soon. Strange nothing is firm regarding Ice Vegas 2020. There seems to be issues. First the Golden Knights have a home game scheduled for 4:00PM Saturday Jan 4th. The Army hockey site states games are Jan 3rd and 4th. Unless the games are played at a venue other than T Mobile arena it doesn't seem possible. Secondly, unless Ohio State has a revised schedule, it appears that they already have the maximum number of games allowed without the tournament. Lastly, Wikipedia actually lists the tourney date and teams as Sunday June 5th and Monday the 6th.  Wondering if anyone has any further info at this point.

Not sure the team would do both an ASU trip along with Las Vegas in the same year. So it wouldn't surprise me
if the ASU games were deferred for a year. That along with the fact that I don't see MSU not being reciprocated and thus
Northern Michigan is a must to have at least two non conference games (not counting exhibitions} at Lynah. Too much lost ticket revenue.
The flaw I see is the extended break similar to this year. Seems too long.

Is there something in the works regarding a Las Vegas tournament next year?

Horrible streaming as previously noted. I was worried it was on my end but apparently not. I understand the audio on WHCU was quite bad too.
It's 2017. One would think issues like this wouldn't happen and at best easily fixed when they do occur. Missing the last minute really sucked.

Hockey / Individual game tickets
October 12, 2017, 09:02:13 AM
Does anyone know why individual game tickets are not being sold at this time except for exhibition games this weekend?
Is there an announced date for sales or are they going to sell them a few days prior to each game. Rather lousy policy if one is
trying to plan in advance for a trip to Ithaca.

Disappointing but predictable. Canisius was only team available over Christmas break. Niagara on tuesday before Thanksgiving. On the plus side, 15 home games albeit 5 with no students on campus and a game after break before returning to ECAC schedule. I wonder if there is a reciprocal arrangement for next year with these two schools along with Alabama Huntsville.

That sounds like a potentially good idea. Bentley is actually close for me too residing in southern NH. Cornell always draws well in Boston area making it that much more logical. So now BC and Bentley are my top two choices.

Four potential opponent left in order of my personal preference.
1. BC. Home and home series would be great for many reasons.
2. Sacred Heart. They play a Webster Arena in Bridgeport which is used to host NCAA regional sometimes.
3 Canisius Buffalo area potentially good for recruiting in Ontario.
4. Bentley. No good reason to play them. Home rink capacity 1200.
These are the remaining teams as I see it available Dec 28-30
This all being said, it's more and more likely no games will be played at all until Princeton and Q meaning as stated earlier Colgate games
will be played on Tuesdays and the 28th and 29th game both out of conference will be on Jan 19 and 20. I agree  with Trotsky, this option sucks.
So I am impatiently waiting for the official announcement this week promised by previous release from CU Athletic Dept.

At least now we know according to official post announcing Red Hot Hockey that the final schedule will be announced next week.
Latest prediction for the final two game is Mercyhurst.

Starting to think that Colgate games will be played on Tuesdays which will open up the weekend of Jan 19 and 20th where it might be easier to schedule games outside of conference.
Creates an extremely long break from 12/2 to 1 /5 though.

North Dakota out. Schedule just released. Almost makes certain that Florida is toast.

Notre Dame out. Their schedule released yesterday.  Down to Atlantic Hockey North Dakota or BC. Another deduction could be that there aren't enough teams to fill
a tournament (Florida) at this point. Don't recall Atlantic hockey teams involved in the past.
