Killian's hit was somewhat reckless and very deliberate.  The Harvard player could have gotten hurt badly if he hadn't dropped down.  I would have given Killian at least 2 mins.

Yale's Killian just took a 5 minute major with ~ 5 mins left to go in first overtime.

Also, got game DQ, hitting from behind.

Harvard and Yale tied at 2.  Game will go to overtime.

Here's my guess:

Q in 3  (I hope I am wrong here.  I really hope Q loses.)
SLU in 2
Yale in 3
Drt in 3

Semi:

Q beats Drt
Yale beats SLU

Final:

Yale beats Q

According to this article from Nov./Dec. 2012, his contract expires in 2016.

Schafer probably has a tough time recruiting goal scorers.  Offensively-minded junior hockey guys who want to make a good impression on people in the NHL are unlikely to choose Cornell.  They know they are going to be required to stick with Mike's disciplined approach.

On the subject of discipline, Mike should be given a lot of credit for keeping the team clean.  No Cornell player has ever fractured their foot during an after hours swimming pool event.

Tough way to end the season.  Union is better than their record indicates and they certainly can score.  Best of luck to them the rest of the way.  I'd rather they win it than Q.

Thanks to all the seniors.

Looked like a good goal to me.  Thanks for the video JH.

All permutations aside, I was impressed with the comeback tonight.

Tough loss for Cornell.

The refs made a good call on Cornell's disallowed goal.  Hilbrich was clearly in the crease before McCarren shot the puck in the net and he wasn't pushed in.

Toddlose - thanks for the Bardreau video.  I watched it in slow motion and I think Mike's anger was appropriate.

I'm sorry to see him go.  In my opinion though, he wasn't developing a lot as a hockey player while he was at Cornell.  Maybe he wanted to get into a professional program where he would be coached differently.  This is just speculation on my part.
