I have to be a traitor to all the Rangers fans here and root for the Hometown Hero Dustin Brown and the rest of the LA Kings team.

Natyshak (Career Improvement): Craig- He may not NEARLY be the strongest player, but I remember that he used to not play much at all and now he has played almost every game this season on the third line and he turned into a great player to stir up some emotions from the other team.
MacFarlane (Transcendent Beauty): Ferlin
Gage (Support): Hilbrich
Shippel (Scrappiness): Ryan
Schafer (Leadership): J. McCarron
Carter (MRO):  Carey, SLU

Quote from: TrotskySounds as if the Harvard goalie also stole the Colgate game.

Lets all hope Colgate tuckered out the Harvard goalie. I am not sure if McDonald will be playing though judging by how he limped off late in the third period. I don't recall him playing another shift after limping back to the bench.

I have to admit that I was disappointed in Iles tonight. He was not focused all night. I had seen him twice allow St.law score because he jumped way too quick. Ferlin and Hilbrich worked great togeather tonight and gave a few points on the board between the two.

Quote from: TimVPaper said no live broadcast.  I thought I saw someplace that MSG or MSG+ was showing the game.  Anybody know?  This will be the first year I don't go.

I checked the TV schedule for Saturday and there is no listings for Red Hot Hockey.

Hockey / Re: Momentum for Brown & Yale

Quote from: sah67According to the box score, Buckles was given a Game DQ for the scuffle at the final horn, so we'll lose him for the Yale game tomorrow night. The Brown player was given only a game misconduct for face-masking, as opposed to Buckles's DQ for fighting.

The refs weren't exactly for cornell in their calls. I had seen much worse fights than the Buckles fight that gave him the DQ, but on the other occasions players were sent to the bench to cool down or given a game misconduct at worse. Refs even awarded Brown a penalty shot which the Puck looked like was knocked out of Andy's glove. Bogus in my opinion that the refs didn't stop play as soon as they should have on that play.

Quote from: DafatoneIt's November 10th.

Also, as we learned last year, Bardreau is a really, really important piece of this team.

But mostly, it's November 10th.

Agreed; the team is still finding is stride and chemistry. This year we have a large freshman class who isn't used to playing a game one night and turn around and play another game the next night. Bardreau has been out again which I am sure puts a psychological toll on the returning group after a season like the last.
There is a spark of hope for a decent season; once Bardreau is back and healthy and the freshman are a bit more accustomed to the NCAA level I believe that we may see something like the classic Cornell Hockey we missed last season.

To put it simply; a penalty was drawn at Ryan's second goal with about two minutes to go in the game. The game was then 2-3 RPI. From that penalty Iles got pulled making it a 6 on 4 game where Mowery scored the tying goal.

I have a feeling that the Yale vs. Harvard game will be MSG's quietest yet. Most of the people who will be attending are NYC natives looking for something to do.

I have no doubts Iles will continue the full year between the pipes. The only two York goals came when Gillam was at net whom I am sure is not quite ready for NCAA speed. The freshman class is looking strong, but I think there are a few guys on the entire team who need to keep from making dumb penalties. I thought that Ferlin looked like he is still struggling to find a way to put the Puck in the net for Cornell. Overall I hope this game is a preview of the Cornell hockey we knew and love.

I understand Cole Bardreau getting the "A" this year, but I'm baffled by John McCarron getting the "C".
