I believe you mean "the The Ohio State." They're very particular about that "The".

Cornell up 7-4 early third quarter. Looking strong defensively. Fiore with some big saves. Pannell his usual brilliant self. Three goals already and two assists.

Keep dreaming. Schedule for next season likely already completely done, contracts signed and everything. Things like this generally have to be worked out long in advance.

Not surprised.  Who do we have to blow to wake Cornell up to reality?  Redcast is a Model T trying to compete in F-1.

Okay, serious answers now. Not hyperbole. How much would you ACTUALLY pay to get this quality video at our home games for a season? Current season package on Redcast is $40. Would you pay $80? $100? More?

Sunday game has to be early because of NCAA selections, which are that night at 6 p.m. They can't play that game at 7. Maybe the latest would be 3 p.m. start, but that's pushing it if SLU wins because they're not going to get a bid unless they win. That would only give committee an hour to redraw the bracket.

That said, not sure about Saturday's reasoning.

::EDIT:: Also, just checked on other conferences. Hockey East is a 1 p.m. start Sunday for the title game. WCHA plays its title game on Saturday at 7. CHA, which doesn't get an autobid, is also playing on Saturday.

::EDIT 2:: And now that I think about it, Saturday's games have to be early because having someone play at 7 p.m. Saturday and then 1 p.m. Sunday would be a pretty short rest. So with early Sunday a mandate, early Saturday makes sense.

One of the league's top people had a death in the family. One person was doing the job of two this weekend.

Do we need any disparaging names for the teams? I think they're all silly, from "Aints" to "Onion" to -- gasp -- "Sucks." I know, I know. Blasphemy.

Love the win. Great game. But am I the only one who thinks "RIP" is insufferably lame?

Is it just me, or is Cornell playing the best hockey of any team in the league right now?

The lesson is to never trust the Sun, even though they likely take things straight from CBR writeup which has the numbers corret.

Quote from: Ken70Syracuse is a great draw.  On first look, and I may be wrong, they look like the lowest ranked (NCAA RPI) at-large team in the tournament.  Only common opp. was Colgate: they won 6-0, we won 3-1.  They've played some very good teams (ND, St. Johns, Louisville) but lost them all.  If (big IF) we move on VCU is a lot better 2nd round draw than Brown got: Maryland.  Brown is not going to the 3rd round this year.

Actually there were four common opponents:
Binghamton: W 1-0
Colgate: W 6-0
Cal State Fullerton: L 1-3
Hartwick: W 1-0

We won all four of those games by scores of 5-0, 3-1, 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. Brown definitely is done in the second round if they beat Drexel. Agreed that Maryland kills them.

Quote from: dag14Dartmouth wins in OT

Which means we win at least share of Ivy League. Also get the NCAA bid from the Ivy Leaguue because we beat Dartmouth head to head.

Five minutes into overtime right now. Dartmouth win gives us a share of the league title at worst.

Kind of cool to the see the Dartmouth game-winning goal on YouTube. Wish they'd put up more highlights. Anyone there to see it in person?

This guy over from the other coast does a pretty solid job trying to estimate the RPI. By his guess, we're 32 right now. You'd like us to be a bit higher, but a win over Brown would help out a lot next weekend. He updates very regularly -- already has today's result accounted for -- though not sure how accurate he is.
