Hockey / Re: Ticket Line Procedures

I am sorry to see that some of the forum's most faithful contributors have been shut out of tickets from this year's system.  I can tell you that a lot of people I have talked to in the Ramin Room are buying a second ticket with the intention of selling it.  If you guys really want to get tickets, I would recommened going to the Ramin Room and asking around.  You may have to pay a little more for the tickets, but you can definitely get them.

[Q] If they AREN'T going to enforce the "no early lines" rule, then the whole "announcement" is a joke. The only way to make a bad rule worse is to enforce it haphazardly, thereby encouraging people to break it.

Sadly this is exactly how Cornell has handled the situation the last few years.

There is a Cornell puck posted on Ebay right now.  It's not what I would have pictured them looking like, but I have never seen one of the game pucks up close.

Hockey / Does anyone have an extra Frozen Four puck?
April 16, 2003, 05:03:01 PM
I was hoping to buy a Frozen Four puck this past weekend, but when I went to buy one at the first intermission of the championship game they were all out of them.  Does anyone have an extra that they would be willing to sell?  If no one can hook me up with a puck, I might be interested in a pin.

I don't think that would be greedy considering that the national champion will keep the belt for the offseason.

Are you driving out to Providence or do you need a ride?

Hockey / USCHO screw up
March 25, 2003, 09:06:11 PM
I just thought this was interesting.  In the article about the new poll that was just released it says:

"Boston College is No. 8 and will lace up against No. 13 Ohio State in Providence, the winner going on top play top-seeded Cornell."

I am glad they have confidence in us, but man would I be pissed if I was a Mankato fan.

I'm not sure how, but Higgins has managed to go from the bottom of the pack to within 300 pts of Lenny in just this afternoon.  Maybe giving him 3rd place votes instead of second will help Lenny build up more of a cushion.

Tell your friends to vote, Lenny has some ground to make up.

Does anyone know if tickets will be available through the Cornell ticket office?  If so when will they go on sale?

The online voting at www.hobeybaker.com starts tomorrow (or tonight depending on how late you stay up).  Let's show Lenny our support!

If harvard can't even sell out Bright for their playoff games, why does USCHO keep implying that they will help boost the attendance at the regionals?

"In the Northeast Regional, Boston University and Maine, along with Harvard, make for an excellent draw."

How about just BU and Maine make for an excellent draw.

Hockey / Postgame plans in Albany
March 18, 2003, 02:10:23 PM
I was wondering if there was going to be a place where most Cornell fans go after the games in Albany?  Some of my friends aren't 21 so a place that doesnt card at the door would be ideal.

How much is the face value of each ticket for the Frozen Four?  How much should I expect to spend on a ticket?

Hockey / Most likely upset this weekend
March 03, 2003, 02:36:48 PM
So looking at the matchups for this weekend, which series do you think is most likely to be an upset?

I would love to see Vermont knock Clarkson out again like they did two years ago, but I think the most likely upset would have to be RPI over Union.

Hockey / Re: key 'cheer'

The keys are just very annoying.  As a freshman I really liked the keys and each year I have shifted more and more towards hating them.  I don't think that we should stop shaking them, but I think that we should limit them to the last minute of the game when we are up by at least two goals.
