All you note is fixable.  Arguably, last season, those were not issues. Giving up inopportune goals was the issue last year.  Everything starts with the keeper.  Lots of good ones in the ivys right now.

This may be a down year defensively for several reasons, but adding quality defense men going forward should not be a problem.  I believe Doug is and will recruit at a very high level wrt skaters.
The challenge is getting consistent and clutch goalie play.  Finding an elite goaltender should be priority each and every year.  No other player on ice makes as big a difference, positive or negative.

Quote from: WederSo the recruiting thread on USCHO lists four forwards and a goalie as committed for next season. I assume that there will be at least two defensemen coming in as well. So that seems like a large class given there are three seniors on this season's roster. Can I assume that the expectation is that Jenner and possibly others will be out for the Olympics? And will there really be four goalies on the roster next season?

I am aware of one defenseman that has committed for next season. She was select for the Canadian U 18 team that played a three game series against the USA this past summer. She is suppose to be very fast.

3 new recruits from the same team seems unusual. Does that mean plan B?

Does a 4th goalie mean someone's transferring?

Plan B meaning we didn't get our top ranked recruits?  If so, I don't know.  Seems some top Canadian juniors are still uncommitted (at least publically).
Plan B meaning we settled?  If so, I am not sure how this applies to the IVYs and non-academic scholly schools.  Seems to me in such situations you would gladly take all comers who are good enough to play.  We are not holding schollys for the super star recruits, because of limited schollys.  That would be a BU, Hockey East situation.

Good to finally see Poudrier play and make an impact.
Will Gags play as a forward the rest of the season?

Don't see any reports, which is strange this late into the year, but how is recruiting going for 2013?

Don't see Poudrier on the players list.
Is she injured?  If so, when is she expected back.

Thanks for the updates.  This team is putting up some ridiculously great numbers.

Is Cook seeing anytime?  How about the transfer from Vermont?  Haven't seen them on the stats sheets.  We'll need them to provide depth and when some of the players are on national duty.

Looks like it is 2012 from her own twitter.
Perhaps the staff is full up on the 2011 class?

Good luck to the women today and rest of the season.
They have a terrific team and I look forward to seeing them make another run deep in the tournament.

Kudos to Coach Derraugh for building this program into one of the best in the country.
