Quote from: GoonThanks the link, I hadn't posted here for some time. I touched on this subject over on the Hockey Writers, in case any of you are interested. I also didn't realized how many players from Cornell are on Team Canada.

Thanks, nice article and I totally agree with what you wrote and what was said by the US team.
Thanks and having been around women's college hockey for the last few years, there's some great players in the game. We don't get to see the players from the East out here in the West as much though. I wish UND got to play the Cornell's and the Harvard's. We did get to play Clarkson this season.

Quote from: TimVLove your team, Goon.  I get to see them a lot on DirecTV, but it's great to get a chance to see 'em in person.  Love their style.

Thanks, where the heck do you get all of these big talented goaltenders? LOL, a lot of UND fans are down on them right now, no puck luck, missing our top players, the only games I have seen Cornell in is against UNH and last night.

You have listed the game that Cornell played RPI in 83-84, What about the three games they played in 84-85? RPI must have been in the top five for all three.
I'll bet they were.  If there's a chance you can tell me when RPI grabbed #1 that season (I assume they held it after) I can update.

I think it is only one game and there is a long season ahead.
I thought he made some good saves.
Deja vu?

Cornell loosing 6-3 against struggling team on a nationally televised game.
I would say that UND is probably not as bad as their record.

Hockey / Cornell News paper cover and blogs.

I was wondering if anyone could post some of the links for Cornell Hockey.
IE, Newspapers, blogs beat writers. Being in the WCHA we aren't too familiar with your league or team.

Thanks in advance.
Completely random question:

When's the last time Cornell played a regular season game in the Central Time Zone?  We've done it plenty in the NCAAs because of our annoying habit of getting sent to western regionals.  I remember playing CC in the mid-90s in Colorado (an 11-0 drubbing in early 1995-96 IIRC, which was the basis for western teams to not taking us seriously) but that's the Mountain Time Zone.

Edit: the 11-0 loss to CC was at the Denver Tournament, Dec 27-28, 1995.  We beat Air Force 6-2 the next day.
Actually Denver is in Mountain Time.

This whole show sounds like it's recorded in a middle school cafeteria.
The coaches show is live in the Green Mill in Grand Forks, ND.
Which we're to guess is a restaurant?  Or bar?  Or grain mill?  :-)

I think the old "coaches corner" show in Ithaca used to be done at the Boatyard Grill, and there would be similar background noise behind Coach Schafer.
Green Mill is a Midwestern chain of great bar/gill. For those in town it is a must see place. The food rocks and the bar prices are not too bad.

Air Force's strenght of Schedule is ranked 50th. Compared to Cornell with is number one and UND's which is tenth.
