.

I do agree that the prices for students should not have gone up, and the 'townies' should have been 'taxed' instead.
Yeah, God forbid the "poor" students park their Lexus RX330s and BMW X5s and walk for an hour here or there to save the 30 bucks for tickets.  No, lets tax the "rich" townies who make $9.75 an hour at the bagel store or 35 grand a year working for Cornell.::rolleyes::
lol, and i am usually great with directions. must be the baby lack of sleep.
jim, i missed your wave. we will be there next year, i hope
Actually Amsterdam is east of Albany.  Make sure you go to the Bulldog.  Another great coffeshop is the Hett Ballonjet.  And remember to visit the Hieneken Brewery while you're there but get in the first tour because after the tour they put you in a beer hall to show you a film on the history of the brewery and bring in free beer til all the tours have been seated!

I've no doubt it is, but I wonder i that's because its extremely rare for an team to have recruited 4 goalies in 4 years. I'd wonder in those few cases where they have, whether its rare or not or them to keep them on the roster.
Well Davenport is a pretty special case.  Obviously he was recruited the first time but I wonder how much he was pursued to come back.  Schafer was definitely not a huge fan of the guy at one point for leaving the team mid-season (and rightfully so).  DiLeo is clearly fourth in terms of ability but it wouldn't shock me if Davenport was the odd man out.  Schafer has cut players before, most recently McLeod who he of course later asked back.
He was asked back because we lost players late to the pros and he lost weight and finally got himself in decent shape.  I tend to doubt he would have been asked back if there was anyone else to fill the roster spot at that point in the offseason.

Is there an Ivy/ECAC/NCAA limit to the number of people you can have on the team? I know there is for how many are dressed of course, but is there any reason they couldn't have 4 goalies officially on the team in practices even if they don't travel, etc.
I don't know of any limit but it is extremely rare for any team at any level to carry four goaltenders.
Well that clears that up.  Thanks.::bugeye::

Here, here...Scrivens got ripped off!
Sigh. For a bunch of well-educated fans, there really has been an egregious amount of sloppy grammar and spelling on this board recently.

Okay. So maybe I'm just a bit annoyed because both the Big Red and the
Sabres  have reached the end of their seasons today.
Thats a really busch league thing to say.::uptosomething::

Be that as it may, I have a hunch Chris is thinking back to Oli Jonas.
Yes. The senior bias in this award would favor Dekanich the same way Jonas took it on '01. Let's hope the team does to Richter what they did to Jonas after the day after he won the award.
Disappointing that Scrivens wasn't able to crack any of those teams, as he certainly had the numbers to deserve it.  I suppose he was the major loser in the previously mentioned "senior biased" voting.
It would have been nice if someone posted the score in the start of the thread and who scored and when.  Nice job

Still waiting with "baited" breath (spelling confirmed by my reliable fishing historian)on the word from your "reliable" source....
Sorry if it wasn't clear but CMCWO 44 was my source.  He put forth his explanation.  At least get fired up about something hockey-related rather than the derivation of a term.  Embarrassing.
Oh!, the explanation that he thought they weren't joking when the guy said they only do that when guys in the dugout are drinking busch beer is your reliable source.  Thanks, now I know what you consider reliable.  You are a piece of work, dude.  Busch beer from the late 70s is your explanation for a term from the early 1900s.  Your credibility just rocketed!!!  Maybe its Schafer's fault the team thinks Busch beer is Bush league!
