Just caught it. That was pretty funny, David. I would have expected at least *one* "Harvard sucks" out of you, though :-P

Am I reading that boxscore on USCHO right? Did they actually lose to McGill? I'm all for humiliation of the crimson, but i can't imagine a pitiful and pathetic hahvahd being good for the ecachl.

Rockin' out here in DC. I'm extremely new to the area though. . . anyone have any ideas where we could watch it? Crystal City sports bar and Champs in Pentagon City are the only things that come to my mind, but then again, I live in Arlington.

You know, i was able to convince WAY too many people that my hometown (yes, i'm from Dryden) WAS named after Ken Dryden because of all the hockey fans in the area. Does anyone truly believe that still? I bet DisplacedCornellian does ;-)  (or at least wishes it).

Not happy with McKee? Did I miss something? I thought Schafer just liked to have three goalies on hand at all times - weren't we kind of expecting another goalie?

IMHO, winning the Ivy championship last year was quite a feat. 5 of the top 6 teams in the leauge last year were Ivy, as was the whole ECAC final four.  Namely - nobody in the leauge could have touched the Ivy title if they had wanted to. Maybe it doesn't mean that much EVERY year, but certainly it's picking up meaning as the ivies become more consistently good every year.

The guy doing the review on USCHO caught that, too. You're right. It is East Germany.

Slightly OT: I have been unable to get irc.warped.net to work for a long time. Did we decide if it's not working anymore or what? If anybody else is having that problem, i'm hanging out in #lynah on miami.fl.us.undernet.org, though any undernet server should do. hope to see a few people there!

I caught the sneak preview last weekend. The movie is outstanding. Being that i wasn't even born in 1980, my judgement that they captured the era quite well is, well, up for debate. The movie, however, really really doesn't suck. Everybody nailed their respective accents perfectly (Boston, Minnesota, etc). The hockey is very good, too.
