Hockey / Old hockey programs 2000-2009
August 26, 2022, 04:08:05 PM
I'm cleaning out closets & have found a large stack of Big Red men's hockey programs from 2000 to about 2009. Is there any person/place that might be interested in these or do they go to recycling? I see many old names here from years gone by, so I'm assuming you all have your own store of programs, but thought it would be worth asking!

Just called the Ticket Office, there is a message from Gene saying that tix for NCAA ice hockey in Albany will go on sale Tuesday. Expecting a high demand so tickets might be sold via lottery. More info to be posted Monday on cornellbigred.com or thru message on 254-BEAR. No info on cost or section. (btw, basketball on sale tonight via fax; form obtainable on the website)

The Red/White scrimmage is absolutely positively definitely happening at 7 p.m. Saturday October 17. Free youth tickets are being distributed through the schools; but any youth wearing IYHA or TGHA jerseys, or Sports camp tshirts will be admitted free. Actually any kid 14 and under who shows up at the door will get in free.
Students 15 and over cost $2 and adults $3 at the door.
We'll get the game listed on the CU Athletic calendar and the events calendar. Thanks to Bill for pointing that out!

Well, we're putting the package on discount to fill up those last seats! We're also willing to sell just rink tickets for the face price of $9.
If interested, dkc840@hotmail.com.

Since we're talking tickets not on the ticket forum--let me add to a post I just made there.

If you would like to make this road trip without the hassle of driving yourself, there are a limited number of seats available on the CHA bus to Colgate. The bus will be leaving promptly at 3:30pm Thursday from the back parking lot of the Clarion Hotel off N. Triphammer Road.

If you've never been on the bus before, you're in for a treat (literally, there's always a healthy amount of refreshments passed around) with trivia contests, raffle drawings, game tapes of the Big Red, etc.

Cost of combined bus and rink tickets is $20, tickets will be made available on the bus.

Please email me at dkc840@hotmail.com if interested or for more info,

The equipment guy forgot to pack them. McLeod (who wasn't on the team last year) drove them up (he was partway to Hamilton when he got the call; had to go back to Lynah to grab the jerseys, and race back up).

Sally Moulson was at Lynah tonight, says Matt is doing great, scored his first pro goal vs. the Providence Bruins tonight. Matt will be in the area Feb 21 playing the Binghamton Senators...and the family is still working on adding another Moulson to the Big Red roster (Chris)...maybe next year (?)

Just weighing in, Age, and this color scheme definitely gives me retinal burn whereas the old one did not. It's painful! I second RazzBaronZ's suggestion, choice of color schemes, if possible?
On the design, links feel weird on the right to me as well, but I can get used to that--it's the staring-at-the-sun-without-sunglasses feeling that gets to me....

Hockey / RED/WHITE GAME FRI 10/13 7:30 pm
October 09, 2006, 11:51:29 AM
Just wanted to remind everyone that the annual Red/White game, sponsored by the CHA, will be held this Friday October 13  at Lynah starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $3 adults; $2 students, available at the door.

This will be our first chance to check out Lynah renovations with the team on the ice. In addition to the scrimmage, there will be a shoot out. Raffle prizes this year include a Big Red jersey signed by the team; McKee signed stick; LeNeveu signed stick; 2 tickets to a Buffalo Sabres game; 5 sets of 2 tickets to a Binghamton Senators game (Vesce & Cook on the roster); and other prizes from local businesses.

This should be a fun night and hope you will make it to Lynah this Friday to see the '06-'07 Big Red!!

Here's what I know about what's been brought up on this thread....

The "premium" seats on the walkway are premium because they have a back. There will be one row of seats, not two, and the "walkway" will not be used as a walkway, but only to access seats if you are a ticket holder for those seats. In other words, the rest of us can't use it as a through-way for that end of the rink.

The Journal was wrong about the penalty boxes--our pb will be next to our bench, the visitors pb will be on the opposite side, but located so that the scorer's/announcers booth will be between the visitor pb and the visitor bench. Our pb will be directly next to our bench, rationale being it will take the visitors 3 steps or so to get back to their bench while we just have to hop into ours.

The idea of section C reverting to a student section seems to have been abandoned.

The 'steps' coming down from the new locker room to the tunnel are some kind of broad specialty (hockey)steps, and not like the steeper narrower ones in your home stairwell.

The CHA is gearing up to run the Red/White game on 10/13 as scheduled, will be our first chance to look at Lynah with the team on the ice, so plan to attend!
