Hockey / Better teams usually win...
March 26, 2007, 09:40:48 PM
Okay, but what if its repeatedly? Year after year getting upset or unable to win. Eventually, you're choking right? Would it be better if we called it Harvarding?
Well, IIRC correctly not one of those losses was against a lower-ranked team.  You could call the Maine game a choke or you could give them props for building a big lead against a better / higher seeded team :-D , but at least 4 losses as a #4 seed can't be called chokes.
I think this season has made me want to find the Hobey nay-sayers over the last four years and ask them again if they really think it was "The System" with both '03 LeNeveu and '05 McKee.
Not to pile on, but this gives the nay-sayers more ammo, not less- we bring in BC-type smurfs as Mike starts trying to learn how to play an open style of hockey and no goalie looks good, versus before with Cornell / "clutch and grab" style hockey and even a guy from TX - or God in the AHL - looks invincible...

That being said, it was not nearly as stupid as our old friend Chad Morin head butting Krueger.
Agreed that Morin was much stupider, but Bitz's hit was much more dangerous - I don't like to see anyone, least of all us, do that.

So, Ocean, give us a hint!

More on-topic, can anyone who was there shed light on what Bitz might or might not have been thinking with his boarding major & DQ?  We seem to get one DQ per season against them, and all deserved.

Up by 5 at the end, and they lose with less than a second left on a layup.  The women lost to Sucks too.

True or not, I could have done without the "inferiority complex" and "inadequacy" comments.

Let me see if I get this right - football, men's & women's soccer and field hockey all play Harvard and ALL LOSE  ::twitch:: :-(  Did I miss a sport?
