I will consider making the four-hour drive to Ithaca to hand-score my game.

Alternatively, this may be the motivation I need to get my son's SAT scores up.

If the jukebox still has "Strokin'" by Clarence Carter, I'll move in with him.

Since yesterday, Ticketmaster opened up sales on sections 101-106, from the Cornell section of 107 all the way to the end zone.  I'll probably be buying in 106 once I know how many.

Quote from: CU77He's extremely good. Back in 22, he had 17 saves against 7 goals for Cornell in the national championship game.

They talked about how he's from Corning, NY about 20 times. I was most likely living there when he was born.

Hopefully we can solve him.

"The brick wall from the city of glass."

How long were they waiting to break out that gem?

I'm the president of my youth hockey organization and I delayed the opening speech at our awards dinner to watch that.

Worth it.

Quote from: Greenberg '97Roll call @Iona?  Just bought tickets in GA.

Football, Basketball, and Hockey all local in the same week.
Thought about it but then realized it meant driving to New Rochelle during rush hour and immediately purged the thought.

I was going to drive to New Rochelle during rush hour either way.  Might as well see the Big Red if they're going to playing within walking distance of my house.

Quote from: Greenberg '97Cornell is on the "home" bench, so Maine will shoot twice towards our section.

The better to appreciate Ian Shane, I guess.

And it looks like this will be the case tomorrow as well.  The arena flipped our seats to the opposite corner (Section 11), and Denver took the "home" bench in the early game, so we'll likely be sitting in the defensive zone for 1 and 3.

Quote from: dbilmesThe arena website says the parking garage is closed due to construction, so I'm sure parking is going to be fun.

Everything I'm reading online says you can park for free at the MGM Springfield, which is an 8 minute walk from the arena.

I make no promises, but this is the approach I plan on taking.

some pages say parking is free for guests.  Others says it's free for everyone.  Not sure which is right.

Coming from NYC, any parking less than $40 will feel like it's free.

But there are a few reddit posts of people saying they parked there for free while seeing other Springfield attractions. I'll post my findings early if I get there for the UMass game.

Parking garage was filling up but was by no means full.  Free.  Good luck if you're still heading here.

That's a great thought, but you obviously don't have the free time that I do:  Look up 1977.

Just gonna bump my post from 20 years ago for no particular reason.

Quote from: TrotskyJesus fuck what a drive by DE.  That was like Syracuse in the game not to be named.

I'd be lying if I said that didn't cross my mind.

East Hartford is less than 2 hours away.  If only I wasn't scheduled to be at a hockey tournament in Philly that night.

Come on, early game!

Quote from: Ken711It would be nice, but how long has it been since Cornell beat Syracuse?
