Hockey / Re: key 'cheer'

I actually like the keys cheer at the end of a good game.. Telling them to warm up the bus and having our keys out is a fitting tribute for the losing team.   :-)

I do agree that recently, people have been taking them out too early.  It does make me feel uncomfortable. But I think the cheer itself fits really well.. especially after close wins or an intense game/3rd period.

I always hated the crease rule growing up watching Hockey.  The guy was driving to the net, and the puck went in.  I don't care if he was in the crease or not before the puck or not, but he didn't interfere with Lenny in any way.  As much as it pained me to watch that puck go in, I would have to agree that that goal was good.

I know that we have to follow rules .. blah blah blah.. but come on... this is hockey.. play the game the way it's suppose to played and stop bickering about minor details.

Being a Cornell fan, I have to say that yesterday's game was definitely exciting to watch. I was hanging on the edge of my seat the entire 3rd period.  Despite the outcome, it was still a great game. :)

In the NHL, OT Losses = 1 pt for losing team.  Implemented a few years ago.

Hockey / First round of cuts...
December 14, 2002, 09:53:02 AM
LeNeveu survived to live another day..... it's now down to 3 goaltenders. :-)

The Canadian junior hockey team released goaltender Cam Ward, defencemen Aaron Johnson and Doug Lynch, and forwards Corey Locke, Jonathan Ferland and Nathan Horton Saturday morning.

The selection camp roster was reduced from 35 players to 29: three goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 16 forwards.

All the best Lenny!

Clip 7188 - In the crease ... Feature on the four netminders battling to represent Canada.  Has a short segment with LeNeveu himself!!

Not too sure how long this will be on the site before newer clips replace it...  anyways enjoy.  :)

P.S.  You might need to sign up for an account to see this.... not sure... This takes like 30 seconds to load on my computer.. be patient. :)

Players will be released on three consecutive mornings starting Saturday.

" The players have been divided into the Red and White squads. Each group will skate Thursday morning before squaring off in an intra-squad game at night.

They have the same routine Friday. After the first round of cuts Saturday morning..."

So I'm guessing by Monday or Tuesday, we'll know the final roster, perhaps?   Good Luck Lenny!  :-)

Ahh..The light warriors.. FF1.. that was a great game. :)

Curling is really fun.  Try playing it once, and you'll immediately appreciate the game.  It's one of those games that's simple to play (I guess to slide the rock down the ice), but hard to master. :)
