Title: Woman flashes fans, barred from rink for taunting
Post by: billhoward on September 27, 2006, 03:23:13 PM
At least she wasn't swearing in the rink. For those who missed this item of social interest the first time around:

http://www.canadiancrc.com/articles/Tor_Star_GTHL_bans_flashing_mother_10DEC04.htm [q]... the Greater Toronto Hockey League sees no humour in the case of the Woodbridge hockey mom who lifted her blouse above her chest, exposed her bra, and shook her breasts from side to side while taunting parents of opposing players during a game in Mississauga between 11-year-olds. The GTHL banned Sylvana Gatti for one year from all of its arenas.

The Nov. 29 incident at the Erin Mills Twin Arena happened while the woman was attending a match between her son's team, the York Toros, and the Mississauga Terriers, two Double-A level minor pee-wee teams. Her son's team won 4-0. ... One complainant, who called the incident "disturbing," wrote that she and her sons ran into the woman after the game and the woman said: "What the hell are you looking at? Have you never seen tits? Yeah, he's probably seen them on the Internet." [Toronto Star, December 2004] [/q]

By the way, has anyone seen the clip of this on YouTube? It's amazing. The mom looks more like the kid's older sister.

Well, I'd love to see this scenario added to the "Relax, it's just a game" campaign that Hockey Canada and USA Hockey had a few years ago.

"exposed her bra"?  So not only did she flash them, she didn't even do it properly?  ::screwy::

Do they call it "The Twin Arena".  Did Erin Mills do it first?  And were they only Double A's?  The players, I mean.  Not the...:-}:-}

I'm a bit behind in reading my ESPN magazine, and this morning I saw a tidbit in the "news and notes" at the bottom of the page about a Detroit Lions Assistant Coach being arrested for driving nude through a drive through.

Yeah, I know, bit of a thread drift, but since there already is a "flashing" thread......

Here's a link to an article that I found via Google describing the incident and then a subsequent arrest for DUI.

Your suspicions are well founded. I was curious how many people would click all over YouTube to see this mythical video. Heck, I would have searched myself, probably.

The whole incident reminded me of the TV docudrama on youth hockey in Canada and their wacko parents. I'm blanking on the name. One of the cable channels ran every episode straight through last year. Great stuff.
